Ruling Lost Zone

I know it's probably a little bit too early to tell, but does going to the Lost Zone still count as a knock out Pokemon? Resulting in taking a prize card?

If I remember correctly the Girantina card states something like "If a Pokemon is knocked out by this attack instead of going to the discard pile it goes to the lost zone (out of play zone)".

If this is the case then seeing as the Pokemon is still knocked out, I would assume you would draw a prize.

I think Lost Zone would be some new Discard Pile.
Cards that goes to Lost Zone will not be able to retrieve through different ways, such as Night Maintenance, Poke-Power (Fire Starter), and etc.

And that would be good against Garchomp. Let's say you knocked out one of his pokemon earlier with Giratina, he can't get it back with Restore. If there was to be a Giratina Lv. X, it should have a Poke-Body/Poke-Power that instead of every card going to the Discard Pile, it goes to the Lost Zone instead. That would make it a powerful card.

lol That would plow over the metagame faster than you can run to the store and buy Guitar Hero after you play it at a friends house.

I really hope that there aren't any cards that let you take cards away from the Lost Zone...unless they let you put them into your discard pile:D

I put Chomp X into my discard from Lost. I put Chomp X into my Deck with Night Maintanence. I use Premier Ball to put Chomp X into my hand. lol

Of you could just Premier Ball Chomp straight from your discard pile into your hand! :p

Orrrr... you can just use Premier Ball to get Chomp X straight from the Discard Pile to your hand, seeing as Premier Ball allows you to do so. Saving you your Night Maintenance. =P

What would be cool is if we had Shaymin, who seems to be opposite Giratina at least in this set, being able to somehow recover from the lost zone, like on its LV.X or something!!

Or a Giratina/Dialga/Palkia combo with Lost Zone related powers Dialga could do some kind of recovery since hes the time PKM, and Palkia could like switch Lost Zone cards with somethign else since hes the space PKM (a la Restructure)

etc etc etc

No! If it is possible to take cards out of the Lost Zone, I will just be another discard pile (considering cards that do that will be staples)

i hope there is. i would hate to have in an unlimited battle a cc in the discard pile and my delta quagsire couldn't take it out.

Just read this, and lol

I just hope that Lost Zone means you can't ever get it out. That would be the best way to separate it from TCGs like MtG.
