An updated take on an old deck. Yes I am aware Zoroark is better but this is meant to be a fun deck.

4 Lotad
2 Lombre
4 Ludicolo
2 Slugma
2 Magcargo
1 Latios (SHL)
1 Volcanion Prism Star
1 Tapu Lele GX

3 Ultra Ball
2 Timer Ball
1 Lure Ball
4 Aqua Patch
4 Rare Candy
2 Pal Pad
2 Rescue Stretcher
1 Pokemon Fan Club
1 Apricorn Maker
3 Cynthia
3 Tate and Liza
1 Copycat
3 Guzma

9 Water Energy
4 DCE

Yes Ludicolo is hard to set up by nature of being a Stage 2 but you actually hit for a lot more damage with Circle Toss assuming you have a full bench.

I was looking at lists from back then and I think I might reduce the number of Water Energies for a couple of Rainbow or Counter Energies and tech in the new Registeel.

I would recommend an alolan vulpix. It can help you get the Ludicolo if you have a rare candy in your hand.

With all of the searching I have, Vulpix isn't really needed although I will consider it. Zorocargo is the better deck but Ludicolo is no slouch either once you get it set up. Ludicolo's damage is actually higher than Zoroark's since it takes into account bother players' benches. It being a Stage 2 is what holds it back.

Here's the decklist I'm using. I find it to be very good

After comparing our lists, I have some changes to make to my own deck.
-1 timer ball +1 lure ball
-1 cynthia +1 apricorn maker
-1 a-ninetales +1 sudowoodo GRI 66(something I was planning on already doing)
I implemented these changes and I'll update tomorrow how it worked out for me.

Critiques:
Pokemon: I am not sure how helpful volcanion prism star has been for you, but with your 4 count aqua patch vs my 2 it could possibly help. That takes a lot of commitment rather than being able to invest in a ludicolo. For early game it may help mitigate damage. For myself I also use Latios in addition to Alolan Vulpix. Alolan Vulpix has worked wonders for me early game and it's not that difficult to get out for the first turn you attack thanks to brooklet hill, a stadium you really should include in your list. I am cutting alolan ninetales since it is far too situational and GX heavy decks still run one prize attackers, namely solgaleo prism, baby buzzwole, and oranguru. I add in sudowoodo because I have been meaning to test him. It works well against malamar, metagross, and rayquaza decks. It may be cut depending on its usefulness.

Supporters: Our supporters count is very similar, but the cards are different. I am not using pal pad because I haven’t had an issue with losing supporters. You have 8 draw supporters and 3 guzma, I have 7 draw supporters and 4 guzma. Instead of tate and liza I have switch and escape rope and guzma. I prefer to either draw or switch rather than compromise.
I highly recommend you using choice bands and shrine of punishment. Choice band helps ensure OHKO and shrine can tag on that last little bit of damage necessary for the KO, or build up damage over time.
Brooklet hill is a no brainer, you must add one. It’s a built-in nest ball for lotads. I noticed I use nest balls mainly for slugma if I have at least 1-2 lotads already in play.

I arguably have one spot open depending on how much I like sudowoodo. In his place I would add special charge. Against decks with enhanced hammer I suffer greatly and using a dce for retreat hurts. I do like that sudowoodo is searchable by brooklet hill.

Background on this deck is that I compared some youtubers lists and now I have taken influence from yours too. I gotta give thanks for the lure ball addition. That is going to help so much.

I gotta retract what I said about pal pad. I just had an unfortunate match with prized guzmas and after playing some I was in need.
-1 timer ball +1 pal pad

Again, thank you for making this thread because I love this deck as well. I will be updating with any changes I make

#1 Edit [note that I am not updating the decklist that I originally posted]
-1 sudowoodo
Not helpful enough to warrant bench and deck space. It is counter productive to ludicolo anyways.
-1 lillie
Early game apricorn maker is stronger than first turn lillie

+1 super scoop up
+1 water energy (until I find something better)

I am considering these cards: order pad, peeking red card

This is what I've been working with. I think it's done. Will continue to improve.

Only things I contemplate adding are:
Energy Recycle System (cut aqua patch)
another super scoop up
peeking red card

What are you thinking about -1 Latios, -1 Order Pad, +1 Aqua patch, +1 Choice Band? I know Latios is great in early game against Inkays and Buzzwoles but I dont see why you use Order Pad if you have Magcargo?

@Manchox solid advice
-1 Latios
-1 Order Pad
-1 Copycat
-1 Cynthia
+1 Field Blower
+2 Aqua Patch
+1 Water Energy (7 Total)

I ran energy recycle system and it was nice, but maxing out 4 aqua patches is a much better way to get energies back from discard.
Order pad is also nice, but not totally necessary. The deck is coming along nicely imo. I am able to beat every Garchomp Lucario deck I come across, but cannot consistently face up against Tier 1 decks. This deck is Tier 3, but I am very happy with how it performs and how much the list has improved. I am happy with where it stands.

Cards I contemplate adding are: Field blower, [bodybuilding dumbbells on zoraork, scizor and friends is unwinnable] another super scoop up, [personal bias. I love this card. Removing Lele from the field feels so nice. Having this in the deck helps me play Lele, versus when I used to not out of fear which hurt my performance] another rescue stretcher [only playing 8 basic pokemon and this deck wants to have the bench maxed at all times]. Tapu Koko promo [Often i miss out on a KO by 20-40 especially on stage 2 decks like Gardevoir. I am planning on adding this in, have to find where to cut. Possibly going to re-add counter energy.]

I'm going to keep toying around. I like this list very much right now.

Sidenote: Andrew Mahone shared his list for Empoleon/ Swampert. It has essentially the same goals as this list and seems to perform better with the added bonus of super boost energy and being able to utilize swampert as a backup attacker whereas magcargo is a 90hp sitting duck on the bench. I'll give it a try eventually.

Final Decision on Lillie vs Apricorn Maker
Lillie Wins! I finally realized she combos with magcargo's ability, so she is entirely more useful than Kurt imo.

-1 Lure Ball
-1 Judge
+1 Rescue Stretcher
+1 Cynthia

I am considering adding: Steven's Resolve If I go first on turn 1 and manage to get down a lotad and slugma, I could Steven's Resolve for Ludicolo, Rare Candy, and a Magcargo. On t2 I can combo their abilities to find a draw supporter. I will definitely try this. Peeking Red Card to disrupt enemy's hand without limiting my own, especially early on. That's why I removed judge because it's too detrimental to myself.

Less Likely:
Tapu Koko promo [Often i miss out on a KO by 20-40 especially on stage 2 decks like Gardevoir]. After playing around with it, I will report back. Maybe even Volcanion Prism Star which does the same job as Koko, but requires a massive 3 water energy count.
