Is luxape still a tier one deck providing it is the right list

Thanks, I haven't played for a couple of months and I know gyarados, garchomp and Flygon are the main decks but I want to know about luxape since no one discusses it anymore :(

Palkia IMO is the better deck over all as far as how well it holds up to the format. I don't think either Palkia or Luxape are tier one ATM, but really it's hard to say until we see how the meta turns out. That being said, I do think Palkia has the better chance of being Tier 1 again simply because it's such a strong lock deck.

wow...lol

apparantly it's impossible for darthpika to get off of palkia...it's not even that good...

and yes luxape is viable

Palkia is amazing. It just takes a person with skill to play it properly.

You're very foolish to think that Palkia still isn't good. I was not saying that it's the bdif. I was simply saying that I think if the OP is to use a SP deck, Palkia has the better odds of being playable. Over all, it has better matchups than Luxape simply because power lock is so effective against many popular decks. I would make a comment on your playing skills based off the ignorant and rude post you made, but I really don't feel like getting an infraction for it.

Luxape has a better matchup vs Scizor :p

I agree with Darthpika, PGX has better matchups

Neither Luxape nor PGX is playable. Its all because of Spiritomb. If you think you won't see spiritomb at cities you are wrong. However you can go ahead and play those decks. Just be sure to not include all your TGIs because you won't be playing them until turn 4 or 5

I won't doubt that Spiritomb will played, it's just that not every deck can use/will benefit from it.

If everyone at cities plays Spiritomb, I'll be surprised.

Plus, I highly doubt Spiritomb could cripple any deck, SP or not, considering it only has 60 HP. There are lot of ways to do 60 damage in 1-2 turns.

Are there lots of ways to do 60 in one to two turns without your Trainers? Of course you could, but you'd have to get insanely lucky. Spiritomb WILL slow down any deck.

Not playable wow, I think it could go 2-2 in Masters in a Spiritomb heavy area, also not everyone will run Spiritomb, it doesn't go in every deck.

Are you saying that you'd want to finish with a record of 2-2 because of your deck choice instead of possibly 3-1 or winning? What your statement pretty much said is that you'll win those games against people that aren't using Spiritomb. So you contradicted your thinking that Palkia could do well against a Spiritomb start.

I didn't say that, if a player wanted to play it they could, it won't do great against a Spritomb start a little too slow to set up, and the other games pretty much depend on matchups.

Tomb is an average-to slightly above average card that can work wonders with certain cards(aka Shocklock, Gliscor x w/Spiritomb) so it can be good in some deck and horrid in others.

Luxape can beat Gyarados (if you have the right build), Gengar (if you keep T/S/St out and Guard the right Pokemon and get around Fainting Spell with Uxie, etc.), and of course any and all of those Grass decks floating around. I'd say that it's not Tier 1 but of course it's a viable deck choice. If you're going to multiple Cities, you can experiment with it and any other decks as well.

^ The only good Suggestion here. I couldn't care less about Palkia g lv X. I specifically asked for your opinions surrounding Luxape

^ lol. your user title is ironic cuz of how you kissed up to dmaster just now:) anyway, luxape, is still very playable, sure flygon is a hard match up but teching in some honchy is way good. early honchkrow g + crowbats + turns = amazing! goodbye trapinch, bat+ target attack, bye baltoy same way. + 1 more poke turn and machops and nidorans are gone. not to mention, the look on your opponents face when you donk flycheap, with an luxape is pretty epic. a good luxape build honestly should out speed flygon enough to beat it pretty often.
watch me get flamed for posting this.

Haha, agreeing with someone (when they're right) isn't necessarily kissing up. ;)

But yes, Luxape can get out faster but Unown Gs will slow it down. Sunyshore is a must to even stand a chance. Once they get out Flygon Lv.X, you better have Ninetails+Crobat ready. You have to play the match absolutely perfect to win with Luxape (believe me).

dmaster out.
