Pokemon: 13
Strategy: Get energy into play (either by acceleration or manually), bust in, scoop up, and then bust in some more to deny prizes.
When Dragonite first came out, I thought it was pretty bad. You couldn't move special energy, but the energy cost for the attack was so specific that I couldn't imagine any other way of playing this. Now having tested this on playtcg (can't afford these cards in real life), I see why they put those limits on the ability. It opens up a whole new can of tricks and combos that are not only extremely effective, but also really fun to pull off.
The best thing that deck gains is Manectric, which makes great use of lightning energy and provides an alternate attacker. That's also where the one energy switch can come into play. If you want to switch gears quickly and start attacking with Manectric. Max Potion also helps as sometimes you just want to heal something off without returning it to the hand. Lastly, the Tornadus and Druddigon and there because without non EX attackers, the deck can be stopped by a single safeguarder.
