Sorry if this has been ruled on before, I tried to search but didn't find anything.
M Mewtwo-EX (BKT 63) has the attack vanishing strike which states that the "attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance or any effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon", but Giratina-EX has the ability Renegade Pulse which "Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon by your opponent's Mega Evolution Pokémon." Which one would take precedence? Would vanishing strike hit Giratina-EX? Or is an ability not considered an effect?
