M-Sceptile EX/Lugia EX/Araidos Help!

Been out of competitive play for a loooong time (Neo Discovery era was my last regional... Lol) and have begun collecting again and want to get back into competitive play. With the upcoming league challenge I'm looking to build a deck around what I have handy. I considered an emerald break deck but I don't have any Shaymin EX and it's prices are crazy right now, on the other hand I've managed to pull two AO M-Sceptile EX and three AO Lugia EX. So I figured that would be a decent base to build around. AO Araidos seems like a strong compliment, and it seems like it's a popular choice with Sceptile EX decks. Paired with Verbank City Gym, sounds like a fun deck. What I'm mainly looking for are suggestions on trainer support. My thinking is dumping energy into Lugia EX as a backup to Sceptile EX and it's Mega evolution, (float stones maybe if I can get both Megas running?) with Araidos's power to aid Sceptile EX. And of course as a back up in case of EX blocking decks. So I'm going to need drawing power with the ability to dump energy into Lugia EX, as well as getting M-Sceptile running quickly. I hope that made sense. I should mention the league close to me plays largely expanded. Thanks!

Welcome back to the TCG! It's great so see a returning player. In regards to your deck, PB has actually devised a nice decklist for M-Sceptile variants here. I suggest you check it out and base most of your list on this. If you're delving into expanded, then I suggest basing your draw engine of the somewhat similar M-Manectric variant, which can be found here. The Ultra Ball, VS Seeker, and Supporter line look pretty good. You should also be able to swap the Shaymin-EX for a few more N. You may also instead like to swap a Shaymin out for Jirachi-EX, which is effectively the predecessor to Shaymin. If the draw appears to be lackluster, you could try a few of the Unowns from Ancient Origins, although I wouldn't necessarily suggest it, instead recommend Acro Bike and/or Trainer's Mail.

You should be able to add a your two/three Lugia and three DCE to a generic M-Sceptile list and have a fairly consistent deck. When running Lugia I would suggest running a couple of Virbank and three or so Forest of Giant Plants so you can take maximum advantage of using the second attack. Once you've made your deck, I suggest posting it in the Deck Garage for additional advice and refining from the PB community.
