Any ideas for faster/ more consistent.... Thinking of pulling giratina and trev and adding malamar ex

Pokemon: 15
  • 2 M Sceptile EX
  • 3 Sceptile EX
  • 1 Hoopa EX
  • 2-2 Ariados
  • 2 Shaymin EX
  • 1 Giratina EX
  • 1 Lugia EX
  • 1 Trevenant EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 31
  • 4 Shauna
  • 1 Lydandre
  • 1 Professor Sycamore
  • 1 Switch
  • 1 Steven
  • 1 Energy Retrieval
  • 2 Mega Turbo
  • 1 Pokemon Fan Club
  • 1 Teammates
  • 2 Trainers' Mail
  • 2 Professor's Letter
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Sceptile Spirit Link
  • 1 Skyla
  • 1 Evosoda
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 1 Lucky Helmet
  • 2 Forest of Giant Plants
  • 1 Shrine of Memories
  • 1 Town Map
Energy: 14
  • 9 Grass Energy
  • 3 Psychic Energy
  • 2 DCE
Strategy:

-1 Giratina-EX [Devoting space to Giratina will not allow your deck to be consistent. This space can be utilised better.]
-3 Psychic Energy [See above]
-1 Lucky Helmet [To be honest, Lucky Helmet isn't all too great. You're likely only going to use it once, so let's put in some more definite draw.]
-1 Evosoda [Ultra Ball is superior as it is usable for all of your Pokemon, aside from just 4.]
-2 Forest of Giant Plants [You don't really need this. Your deck doesn't rely on getting M-Sceptile out as quickly as possible, so there would be better options, such as Shrine of Memories.]
-1 Steven [This isn't great. Use more Sycamore, and you'll likely get your energy and supporter, plus a tons more cards.
-1 Skyla [Skyla is slow. Use other draw instead.]
-1 Town Map [You don't rely on certain amounts of maths like in things like Night March, so Town Map isn't really the best use of space.
-2 Shauna [Max out your Sycamores instead]
-1 Energy Retrieval [I would consider Fisherman superior, as you can use it whenever you'd like with the combination of VS Seeker]
-1 Pokemon Fan Club [A fast deck shouldn't need this]
-2 Mega Turbo [Once you set up a M-Sceptile, you shouldn't ever need this.]

+3 Professor Sycamore [If you want fast draw, Professor Sycamore is your man]
+1 VS Seeker [A great card to max out]
+1-1 M-Sceptile-EX [This will increase your consistency, being the thing your deck is built around.]
+1 M-Sceptile Spirit Link [For the above reasons]
+1 Lugia-EX [More consistency]
+1 Fisherman [Adds a bit more consistency to your deck, in grabbing out the energy you need]
+1 Shrine of Memories [For basic Sceptile-EX's attack]
+1 Trainer's Mail [More consistency]
+1 Double Colourless Energy [More consistency]
+2 Acro Bike [Synergy with Fisherman while increases deck speed]
+1 Buddy-Buddy Rescue [Synergy with Acro Bike]
+2 Super Rod [Synergy with Acro Bike, more consistency]

!!!
I forgot to recommend adding two more Ultra Ball. I'd take out a Teammates and a Super Rod or Buddy-Buddy Rescue to fit them in.

If you're looking for a consistent deck, I don't think Malamar-EX is a good option, at least with your current list. However, if you feel like ditching Lugia-EX for a Malamar-EX deck, I'd change the following (assuming you've changed the deck to my specifications):

-2 Lugia-EX
-3 Double Colorless Energy

+2 Malamar-EX
+3 Dark Energy

If you would like to get a bit techy and go for less speed, you could also try the following in addition to Malamar-EX:

-2-2 Ariados
-1 Trevenant-EX
-2 Acro Bike

+2-2 Zoroark BRT
+3 Float Stone

I don't agree with Trevenant in a Mega Sceptile deck. A better choice would be Malamar or Lugia. Malamar can get energy on it and still put it to sleep with Mega Sceptile's attack : You may attach up to 2 [G] energy card FROM YOUR HAND. I've even seen it on PTCGO that Malamar made the opponent's active pokemon asleep so maybe 1 wouldn't hurt because then the opposing pokemon can be asleep and poisoned and it would have taken 110 damage with poison or with shrine of memories, you can hit for 140 with poison. So maybe 2 Lugia and 1 malamar would be good.

Could you please update the original list for us to see how it turned out/what we would want to change it too?
