Pokemon (15):
Strategy:
This is the 2nd deck that came to mind when I read the card listings and I will hopefully be able to make!
Ok so this deck is quite simple. Similar to a kyurem/deoxys team plasma deck, this deck is attempting to ramp up the very energy-efficient damage from its attacker lucario ex. The cards muscle band, fighting stadium, strong energy and machamp all can boost these attacks, and machamp is a good attacker of its own dealing at least 100 with 3 energy. Lucario has natural synergy with this stage 2 deck because of its 2nd attack, Corkscrew Smash which allows you to draw until you have 6 cards whilst also dealing 60 dmg. This should help speed up getting more pokemon into play.
Here's an example of how efficient the damage from lucario is:
Using corkscrew smash with 2 strong energy, muscle band, and 1 machamp in play it will deal 60 + 40 + 20 + 20 = 140 damage, whilst also building your hand size back up to 6.
Even without being too set up, lucario can missile jab with a strong energy and a muscle band for a respectable 70, meaning early early pressure especially when the attack ignores resistance.
2 regular landorus from rising fist are added for bulky pokemon which can accelerate energy, whilst also attacking efficiently for 1. Also it can retrieve energy lost form the discard pile while it does so.
Korrina is obviously a good card here. With it you can grab any pokemon as well as potentially any item due to computer search. This means that you can grab a lucario as well as a strong energy to instantly be hitting for at least 50. without using computer search it can still grab many useful combos such as a machamp + rare candy, lucario + muscle band, lucario + prof letter etc.
The rest is pretty logical. 2 fighting stadium to help lucario achieve its knockouts against ex, and also 1 max potion just due to the low energy costs of attackers- losing 1 energy to fully heal the high hp of my pokemon seems worth it when the energy can be recovered by landorus also.
I think what this deck is missing is techs(?) which from what I understand is small lines in order to counter its counters. I think yveltal is not too much of an issue vs this deck as it can attack for small amounts with lucario (who ignores resistance), but perhaps raichu would be good here anyway since I am likely to have a full bench if possible. I dont think Pyroar would be a problem vs this deck as machamps should easily beat it. but i am sure you guys can help me and tell me which decks this cannot beat. I added 2 lysanders in order to grab things like aromatisse for max potion decks, as she can be koed by 1 strong energy, 1 muscle band and 1 machamp on the bench. Also this is all going by the assumption that machamps bonus damage will stack like deoxys
