Machamp (Masters-BR)

Since after the next set Legends will go on a rise (Mainly ERL, PDL and GKL) and since SP decks are already dominant I decided to make a Machamp deck.

EDIT: See Post #11 for latest deck list or click here

3x Dialga DP49 (Black Star Promo) Picture
1x Machamp Lv. X
3x Machamp SF
4x Machoke SF
4x Machop SF
1x Dodrio (Undaunted)
1x Doduo (Undaunted)
1x Blissey PL
1x Chansey HGSS
2x Uxie

21 Pokemon

1x Copycat
2x Interviewers Questions
2x Judge
2x Looker's Investigation
2x Pokemon Collector
2x PONT
2x Flower Shop Lady
4x Bebe's Search

17 Supporters

2x Ruins of Alph
2x Expert Belts
3x Warp Points

8 Trainers

10x {F}
4x Special {M}
2x Rainbow
2x DCE

18 Energy

The ideal start would be to start with Dialga and a Metal or rainbow energy. Dialga has a one energy attack that allows me to evolve a pokemon on the bench. In an ideal start he would be a tank set up. He has 100 HP and with a Special Metal I could get two Machamps ready with a Dodrio giving EVERYTHING in the deck free retreat in two turns.

I kept the trainers on a low because of the upcomming tomb invasion (Since everyone and their grandmother is going to have several now) and the whole Vileplumb espionage going on.

When the next set comes out I am considering dropping 1x Machamp SF and replacing it with 1x Machamp prime and replacing all Machoke SF with the new Machoke (Since he is a better choice in every way).

However I'm rather pleased with the deck. Basics get a 1-Hit KO and the rest get hit with Machamp's rage (Which is pretty powerful).

I use Ruins of Alph to remove any resistance since Machamp has no resistance already it only helps me against decks that have a {F} resistance. It also can act as a good way to get rid of any stadiums I disagree with.

I have a lot of hand refresh in the deck to ensure I will most likely get what I need.

However I feel it can be improved and wish to get advice from players with more experience than mine. I've only ever ranked 6th in any tournament (excluding pre-releases where I've gotten 2nd) and last few BR I've went to the finals consisted of SP decks and Legend decks.

Any and all help is welcome. :D

This is an entirely different deck rather than a suggestion to change mine. You also HAVE to tell me WHY you suggest these things:

"All deck advice must be accompanied by detailed explanations, not just "-2 Water +2 Uxie.""

Ok..hence I said ask if you want to. lol

1x Machamp Lv. X
3x Machamp SF
3x Machoke SF

10 Energy

Used my current set up at league today, played six matches and won all six.

I am sadly going to ignore the above suggestion as the deck idea is an entirely different deck idea than mine. I don't need regice to deal with Spiritomb as it's a basic and Machamp instant kills it. I also currently don't have a lot of trainers and don't need to worry about a trainer lock.

I don't need 3 uxies as they will just clutter the deck and after two I've got my set up.

I don't need 3 expert belts as I barely use the two I have since Rage does massive damage (And Lv. X does even more).

I don't need Azelf as I go through my prizes fast.

Don't need Donphan as Machamp is strong enough on his own and it would clutter the deck.

Thanks but your deck list is basically an entirely different deck and has NOTHING to do with the approach I'm taking with my deck.

ok...use that at a battle roads and then please tell me how many you win Then. lol. seriously I'd be interested to hear so PM me with your record whenevr you do go

Umm it seems to me that the only factor of this deck doing wel(winning your league) would be what decks did your opponents play and what is the meta like in your area??

kay so i have a suggestion..
if you are trying to keep your trainer count low
why not just run 3 spiritombs over the dialga and 4 wapr energies to switch them out or 3 warp energies and 1 unown Q or something

I don't have the Spiritombs at the moment, not until the league I attend gets their promos. I'm guessing this Sat.

The decks I've beaten have been Crobat Prime Deck, Groundon Kyogre, Blazakin FB(twice) and Blastoise/Floatzel. The deck that gave me the most trouble was Crobat Prime because of Machamps +30 weakness giving Crobat Prime a one energy 60 damage attack (Even higher when he's Lv. X.) But that makes Rage hit even harder.

So with the following adjustments I made 4th in the BR, lost to Kingra on my fifth match, played him in finals, won the first match lost the second two.

4x Dialga DP49 (Black Star Promo) Picture
1x Machamp Lv. X
3x Machamp SF
3x Machoke SF
4x Machop SF
2x Dodrio (Undaunted)
2x Doduo (Undaunted)
2x Beldum
2x Metang
1x Metagross (Legends Awakend)
2x Uxie

1x Copycat
1x Interviewers Questions
3x Pokemon Collector
3x PONT
2x Flower Shop Lady
3x Bebe's Search

2x Ruins of Alph
1x Expert Belts
2x Warp Points

8x Fighting
4x Special Metal
2x Rainbow
2x DCE

The decks I went up against were Charizard (Loss, donked first turn with a lone beldum), Vileplume/Gengar/Spiritomb (Win), Floatzel G (Win), Kyogre/Groudon (Win), Kingra (Loss).

The girl running Kyogre Groudon beat the guy who ran Charizard so it improved my rank to 4th (The guy running Kingra was undefeated so losing to him didn't lower my rank much).

In finals I went up against the guy running Kinga. Beat him first match (All he had was Unknown Q, took it out with Uxie) and the other two matches he won by getting set up faster and dealing lots of extra damage with Spray Splash and Crobats. His first turn he took out a dialga. It was very hard to keep up with that.

However I was hopeful and tried for if I won my next opponent was running Umbreon (2x Weakness to me). Luxray/Garchomp got 3rd, lost to Umbreon.

ok..you had some super pairings against horrible decks. no one Good uses kgl or floatzel...just noobs. and vilegar had to have horrible opening hand/draws for you to be able to beat him..probably didnt start with spiritomb right? try playing against Good decks...and then tell us how you do

Someone's close minded ;)

They did start with Spiritomb. Had three Gengars out and a Vileplume. I just never had any trainers or supporters for them to abuse and the Metal pokemon I had in play resisted most of the attacks.

When they did hit Machamp I simply used Rage for massive damage. She did manage to Fainting Spell one Machamp, but my Dialga got me another one out pretty fast.

Kyrogre/Groudon got 3(Wins):2(Loss) one of those two being me and the last being a terrible start where she had only Uxie and got donked.

The FLoatzel was 2(Wins):3(Loss)

The Vileplume was 3(Wins):2(Loss)

Don't be dumb, I have no reason to lie about making fourth. You asked to be informed about the results this deck got and I informed you, then you call me a liar?

Anyway, I don't want to have to same argument on two separate threads with the same person. Keep it on the other thread as this threads intend is for constructive criticism on my deck and how to improve/make it faster.

I kind of prefer the Dialga, also look at the revised deck list on Post #11.

I use Dialga as he has higher HP, doesn't damage himself and with a Special metal lowers damage. He's less likely to be donked as well.

Most of the time, he survives three Time Calls and I can retreat him for free with Dodrio to the bench for a Machamp who has two energy ready to either use Take Out or Hurricane Punch.
