Welcome to Mafia XLVI: Salem Forces, hosted by @Lord o da rings. This game is based off of the mafia-themed game, Town of Salem!

If you need a refresher on the rules, those can be found here.

The Sheriff was riding his horse as fast as it would take him. With the Mafia hot in pursuit, what else could he do? He ducked into the deep woods, and the Mafia kept on pursuing him. They were merciless.
After a while, they began to shoot at him. He’d dodged every shot, luckily. However, the next occurrence was strange. He began to see light at the end of the woods, and he began to wonder what it was. The Mafia could see it too, though they were much more focused on the Sheriff than the woods ending.

The Sheriff lept out of the woods with his horse, and they saw a town at the bottom of the hill they were apparently on. He decided the only way he’d stay alive was by hiding in the town. He rode as fast as he could, and ran immediately into a house, not even asking for permission. Inside, he saw a man just eating some dinner.

“Who in tarnation are you?” the man asked.
“I’m a sheriff from a nearby town, and I need to hide here, the Mafia is hunting me down.” the Sheriff replied.
“Well isn’t that just nice, as if the Coven wasn’t enough for us, now we’ve got to worry about the Mafia too?” the man said. “I’ve been surveying these streets for a while making sure those darn witches don’t kill any of us, but it seems to be no help. They just manage to get away with it, somehow. I’m the town’s Doctor, by the way.” the Doctor said.

Outside, the mafia ran to the center of the village, wearing their masks, of course. One of them began to speak, “Alright, Sheriff! Since you’ve decided to take this town as your hiding place, we’re giving you two options! You can either come out now and save us all time, or you can keep hiding and we’ll just kill someone each night until we find you!” the Mafioso yelled.

The Sheriff was obviously not going to do that, since it meant his hometown would burn in flames. However, if this town had a doctor, it surely had some other professionals who would be able to help out in a situation like this…
1. Be nice to other players.
2. Try to contribute. If you don't feel that you'll be active, please do not sign up. If you find yourself inactive for a limited time during the game, let the host know about it.
3. No one is allowed to post during each night phase.
4. Do not edit/delete your posts.
5. No screenshot or image posting is allowed.
6. No outside communication (besides your QTs).
7. Liking posts is allowed.
8. Quoting posts is allowed. You are also permitted quote and edit any posts sent by the host.
9. The host's word is law. Once the host has made a decision, the decision is final.
10. No posting after a Game Freeze.

You'll get a warning if you break any of these rules. Two warnings and you risk the mod kill.
- The trial system! Just like in the Town of Salem games, there will be a trial system in place! Here’s how it’ll effect the game:
The first 48 hours of the day are just for discussion. No one can be voted for during this time. However, once this time is over, the voting phase begins, and lasts for 72 hours minimum (however they can go over up). The town has time for 3 trials each day. To put someone on trial, players must vote someone to where they get a majority of the votes. Once a player is on trial, judgement will begin and will last for 24 hours. The player on trial may defend themselves, and the other players will be able to vote guilty or innocent. To do this, other players must PM me guilty or innocent (and by not voting, you’re abstaining). Once the votes are tallied, the verdict will be revealed. If they’re decided innocent, they will walk off the stand and rejoin the town. If the votes are guilty, the player will be hanged and their role will flip.
- In order cast a vote, players should follow this format: ##VERB: PLAYER NAME.
- In order to unvote, players should follow this format: ##UNVERB: PLAYER NAME.
- Day Periods will last a minimum of 120 hours (5 in real life Days), but can last longer.
- Night Periods will last 48 hours (2 in real life Days).
- If no majority is reached to put anyone on trial, or no one is determined guilty by the end of the day, no one will be lynched.
There are three main factions in the game, and those are the Town, the Mafia, and the Coven. There may also be other factions.
You are the Lookout and are aligned with the Town. You’re a man who has practiced the art of watching all his life, and you now lurk around a house to see what happens there each night.

Active Ability - Watch: Every night you may PM me ‘Watch [PLAYER]’, and you will watch this player. You will see who targeted them that night.

I'm beginning to send out roles. Like this post when you've received your role. Once I have 10 likes on this post, I'll post N0.

That's 10 likes. Let the game begin!

The Sheriff sat in the Doctor's house, attempting to figure out what his plans would be that night... He needed to act, and fast. If nothing was figured out, this town would surely fall...

"How are we going to figure this out?" the Sheriff asked.
"Look, we're already gathering at the gallows everyday to try and sniff out the Coven, we can do it with the Mafia as well. I'm sure they'll gather there as well to look as innocent as possible. They've done it before, we've hung a Werewolf and a Hex Master there before, we can do it with these guys as well..." the Doctor replied.

"Well, the sun is setting for the day. It's likely little will happen tonight, since everyone's still adjusting to the new Mafia presence in town..."
"This is probably true"

Night 0 has begun, and will end Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 7PM EST, which is 48 hours from now. Only actions that say they may be used during Night 0 can be used tonight. Also, I still need @mordacazir and @GM DracLord to like the post before this one confirming you've received your role. Here's a countdown, for convenience.

Do not share QT links. Anywhere. This includes within the QTs themselves.

Day 1 has begun and will end Friday, November 17, 2017 at 7PM EST, which is 120 hours from now.

Announcement: Since kicking off D1 without the ability to RVS wouldn't make sense, the entirety of D1 will be the Voting Phase, meaning for today only you can start voting from the beginning of the day!

The Voting Phase
The Voting Phase is where votes are placed. Since this is D1, the entirety of the day will take place under this phase. Getting someone to a majority puts them on trial for conspiracy against the town. Once they are on trial, you may vote them as guilty or innocent, and you will have 24 hours to do so. Votes must be submitted by private PM. After the 24 hours, I'll reveal the results. If they are determined innocent they are free to go, but if they are determined guilty they will be hanged and their role will be revealed. Up to 3 people can be tried each day, normally (however, for D1, up to 4 people can be tried). Despite the amount of trials that can be done, still, only 1 person may be hanged each day.

Also, for some reason a few roles got messed up in formatting (pretty much just spacing). Ignore these. If someone has inconsistencies like these when claiming roles, ignore them, it's my mistake.

Masstag: @quakingpunch73, @GekkisaiDaiNi, @FlavorfulPineApl, @NinjaPenguin, @TheSceptileMaster, @Jabberwock, @Jadethepokemontrainer, @mordacazir, @scattered mind, @Mariano11887, @TeamAqua4Life #HEYNICK, @GM DracLord.

I'm going to start of the day with a ##Vote: mordacazir because you liked your role last, thus showing that you aren't paying too much attention to the game, even in the early stages of it, which can be seen as scummy, since your scum meta is less active than your town meta.
