Pokemon: 19
1 Reshiram
3-0-2 Abiliboar
4-2-3 Magnezone
2 Cleffa
1-1 RDL

Trainers: 25
1 Energy Retrevial
3 Pokemon Collector
4 Pokemon communication
4 Rare candy
4 Junk Arm
2 Catcher
2 Switch
3 PONT
1 Burned tower

Energy: 16
11 {R}
4 {L}

Strategy: Set up a fast emboar and magnezone to deal lots of damage every turn. Reshiram is a low-resource attacker and RDL is to clean up. Please post your advice. Thanks! :D

4 Lightning with 11 Fire worked better for me in testing.

You NEED 4 Pokemon Collector in every deck. Try dropping the 2nd Catcher for that.

As said above, you need Twins as well. I like the Rescue, but there's not room for it. Same thing with the Judge. Twins takes priority. Tyrogue then becomes contradictory to the purpose of the deck, since he takes early prizes. So drop him for a 3rd Twins.

I like the 2nd Cleffa, but again, I don't think there's room for it. The 4th Magnemite is pretty important.

Another couple things you can play around with:
Using a Burned Tower over the Flower Shop Lady. It's flippy, but you get a chance at a lost energy every turn.

Also, I almost like a 4-2-3 line of Magnezone and a 3-0-2 line of Emboar better than having middle lines of both. Magnezone on his own is your only chance against trainer lock - you probably won't get both of them out without Communication. You rarely need either of these cards in other games.

K, I'll try those. However, I've found that with ample shuffle draw, I don't need that 4th collector

Ehhh imo you need to collector T1 if possible though. If you're not going first, after your first turn, your opponent is going to try to catcher and kill something. Running a bunch of basics to increase the odds of 2x Magnemite and 2x Tepig (via collector and starting one) means that you can get a good setup T2 through Twins and smart playing.

I've been kicking the dust off my own Magneboar variant, and I'm a little surprised to see no Pignite in this deck. I get why, given high retreat and the big bullseye on its back. Have you found it worth the risk not running it? I know I can think of quite a few things I would love to do with that extra space. 4th Tepig, 3rd Abilityboar, and second catcher top that list.

I'll try that 4th collector. I don't have time to thoughrouly look through my deck tonight, but I'll tell all how it goes tommorow after the prerelease (yes I will do fun battles).
EDIT: Celebi suggested that I drop the pignite for another magneton. Also, I have 4 rare candy and 4 junk arm. As Celebi also said, zone is my only defense against trainer lock anyway.

Why? Magnezone already does 100 for 2 T_T

Pichu/Victini is a completely different deck. Although, it's certainly a fun Durant counter.

^ Well, I'd take out reshiram. Victini would be a late game attacker for low costs. Sometimes I found myself running low on energy, so Victini would be a fun attacker. Just an untested idea though

The biggest problem with Victini is that it's fragile. Now granted, people with Catcher may ignore it in favor of dragging out an Emboar or Magnezone, but that doesn't help either really. They kill one of your guys, and you lose your attack power. That pretty much means you'll have to run Revive or something to get them back, or run more basics. Either one takes more room. 100 is also pretty terrible late game.

Now what I would do is add one fisherman. It can't be locked and gets you four energy. I run one in my Magneboar, and it's been enough to get off those couple extra Lost Burns/Blue Flares, or set up Ozone Buster for the final plunge. It's good once you get a grip grasp of when to use it.
