Strategy
You want to set up a Magnezone and Trevenant. Attack with Magnezone's Gyro Ball forcing the switch to Treveant to item lock the opponent, also making your opponent switch out the active. And Suicune is in in case you really need the switch into a Safegaurd Pokemon even though it does break the trainer lock. I'm picking him for the deck because of all of the fire Pokemon support I see coming in the future sets but he is easily replaceable with Sigilyph.

Muscle band on Magnezone lets it OHKO Yveltal EX LugiaEX and Tornadus EX. Without Muscle band it still OHKO's Empoleon.

Lysandre is just a pre nerfed catcher in the form of a supporter so Magnezone's Dual Brains will let you use and abuse that as well as your regular draw supporter for the turn. Just continue to catcher and switch out your opponents pokemon and shut off their items.

I've been playtesting a current version of the deck with the Lysandre replaced with Genesect and a few Plasma Energies. This version should be much more consistent than the current version I'm running and hopefully a faster set up since I did change the Pokemon lines in the version. First deck post wooot!

Just gonna throw out some ideas. Ghetsis. Emolga ex with energy switches.

So I've considered Ghetsis and would like to include one I'm just not sure what to cut right now. There are so many supporters I want to run but I just can't find the room. I actually hadn't even considered Emolga Ex as it is lightning acceleration and still maintains the lock. My only issues there is that it is such a fragile EX and I'd need to cut even more for it and the energy switches.

Great suggestions though, thank you!

Dugtrio is your premier anti-Darkrai. 2-2 Dug + 1 Mr. Mime and Bangles ensure that Darkrai does not give you hell. Yveltal is a different story, good luck against that one.

This is also personal insight but it looks like to me the format will be making more a shift from Darkrai to Yveltal as a main attacker in most dark decks. As I stated Magnezone with Muscle Band does KO Yveltal EX with one Gyro Ball. Unfortunately with Trevenant being dark weak this make that whole match up a nightmare. I Need to do more testing but I'm hoping the denial of dark patch and having team flare grunt to possibly slow them down as well will keep those agro dark decks at bay long enough to get set up. If that match up becomes increasingly difficult I may consider Dugtrio and bangles but for right now I can't justify roughly 7 deck slots for that.

So I'm considering adding in 1 Emolga EX and 2 Energy Switch for a sort of energy acceleration as well as 2 Pal Pad's to reuse supporters. I can't quite decide on what I want to cut so does anyone have any suggestions? I'm also considering a Ghetsis but that seems less important.

Interesting deck you have here, but I can't imagine it setting up very quickly at all. You don't have all that many draw supporters and that may hurt a deck like this. Consider adding some N or something. I'd probably take out the float stone, because you have fairy garden.

From my testing so far it is a pretty slow set up which is the main hinderance of the deck. Float Stone has been at the top of my list of things to cut so I suppose adding more draw would be beneficial. There is just so much to the deck and not nearly enough room. I'm thinking cutting the 2 Float Stone for perhaps an N and another Sycamore.

You might want to consider adding a few Tool Scrapper since Garbodor will "shut down" your Item-lock deck completely.

Also, have you tested against VirGen decks yet? Those might give you a few problems too.

I've considered a single tool scrapper but If I do set up the lock they wont be able to get a tool on garbodor regardless assuming I can keep the lock. And yes I've played a few games against VirGen and red signal really does cause some issues. With that being said I've only been able to test the before mentioned version with genesect and plasma energies as my catchers rather than Lysandre but over all the matchup should play similarly which is less favourable.

Just throwing an idea out here, but what about colress machine. You can energy accelerate to magnezone and you could also run plasma frigate so your trevenant isn't weak to darkrai when a plasma energy is attached. You can't colress machine to trevenant though.

Countering stadiums is a very common occurance right now, you would end up having to take out 7-10 cards and add in 2-3 stadiums and 3-4 plasma just to make the no weakness function work, also it would end up taking away from using the colress machine to make fast setup plays with magnezone.

I made this deck, but here are some changes I made.

-2 Fairy Garden
-2 Iris
-1 Suicune
-1 Magnemite
-1 Phantump
-1 Lightning
-1 Rainbow
-1 Silver Mirror
-1 Cassius
-2 TFG

+1 Super Rod
+2 Shuana
+1 Tool Scrapper
+2 Colress Machine
+2 Plasma Energy
+1 Candy
+1 Float Stone
+2 Professors Letter

I also worked in 2 Colress, and 2 heavy ball, you could do that by getting rid of the Lysandre. The TFG may actually be really good, so you may want to keep it. It could really hurt, especially while item locked. The Colress Machine acceleration really helped, and I find myself getting T2 Magnezone fairly often, which allows me to get Trevenant out very quickly after, if not that same turn.

I also find that the Tool Scapper is necessary regardless of getting the lock setup before a tool goes onto Garbodor, because Trevenant can still die, because it does have very low HP, and getting that lock setup quickly isn't always a possibility.

My list seems to be pretty fast, I really like it. Good luck!

I was actually messing with the decklist recently just personal notes and the such. I found that I was wanting to do way to much with it and needed to just simplify it and work more towards it being faster and more consistent. My revised list looks near identical to the changes you made with a few personal preference changes obviously. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

This is my first/only post so far so should I just update the list on the original post or what? Thanks again guys.

Made some minor changes to the list. Decided to simplify it down, I felt like I was trying to do too much and cover too many bases which made the deck just too clunky. Here are the changes

-1 Suicune
-1 Iris
-2 Fairy Garden
-3 Rainbow Energy
-2 DCE

+1 Emolga EX
+2 Energy Switch
+1 Float Stone
+1 Tool Scrapper (Surprise Megaphone)
+1 Super Rod
+3 Lightning

Let me know what you guys think.
