Hello there! I am looking to build a Landorus-Crobat deck and I try to find Andrew Mahone's deck-list (The guy who won St. Louis regionals - the one streamed on Twitch) but I keep failing. Does anybody have it or can tell me where to find it ? Thank you very much for your help :) I really appreciate it ^.^

RE: Help on a deck-list I search ... (?)

I don't think there is. However you could study his two streamed games and see the cards he draws and etc.

I don't have the list for last format but this is the list he gave out before Florida Regionals for this format. It is 2 cards off (Repeat Ball) from his St. Louis list. I'm not positive but if I had to guess I'd say he ran 1 Super Scoop and 1 Hawlucha instead of the Repeat Balls for St. Louis.

Andrew Mahone's List:

Pokemon - 18

  • 4-4-3 Crobat
    3 Hawlucha
    2 Landorus EX
    1 Lucario EX
    1 Jirachi EX
Trainers - 32

  • 4 Juniper
    4 N
    3 Colress
    2 Lysandre
    4 Ultra Ball
    3 VS Seeker
    3 Muscle Band
    2 Repeat Ball
    3 Super Scoop Up
    3 Fighting Stadium
    1 Computer Search
Energy - 10

  • 4 Strong
    6 Fighting

... Don't play that list. Toad is the BDIF, and if your deck has a hard matchup with the BDIF, it's not worth it.

More Hawluchas and Lucarios can help it give a better matchup against Toad.

More Hawlucha's and Lucario's won't fix the Seis matchup. Landy / Bats just doesn't beat a good Toad list. SSU's make Hawlucha not be able to effectively trade.

Exactly, you just can't play a heavy line of Landorus as your main attacker right now.
2 Landorus is hardly a heavy line. It is important to note that Mahone created the list before Toad was established as the most popular deck (and Archies was a proven engine).

You're right, it isn't heavy, but it's still thicker than the Lucario line. Also, most good Toad players know that SSU isn't worth the space.

This is not true at all. I can confidently say that 90% of the straight Toad decks that made cut at states played it. SSU is what makes this matchup so difficult for Landybats. Without SSU you could easily trade with Toad and the matchup wouldn't be half bad. SSU is what lets Seis win prize trades.

Anyway, yeah; LandoBats is unfortunately not really effective right now if only because Toad EX is in format. It's a great Tier 2/3 (I forget which) deck, but it's a horrible match against Toad decks.

Hmmm... not really... It depends on which seismitoad version you are using. If it is the one with the Slurpuff... then I believe not much since you can rely on hawluchas... =P

wow thanks...

1) Yes repeat ball has so much potential here but level balls are good.
2) Isn't 2 Landorus EX a "low" number ?
3) Only 3 Super-Scoop up? (Same as above^)

1) Level Ball is only legal in Expanded and even in expanded there are better options. Pokemon Communications is good ;).
2) As we have talked briefly about Seis and Archie Engines make Landorus a liability.
3) That was what was in Mahone's list. Personally I'd run 4.

Did you find the list somewhere or did you created it based on what the commentators said on twitch (did he really ran 4 hawlucha ?) ?? ^.^ I personally admire this guy! He said that he played 500 times with his deck in the PTCGO... no pain no gain, as they say... Well I tried running 2 landorus but it seems to me that a low number considering they might be prized :/

He gave out his list online on facebook. 2 Landorus is the general consensus of what is good for Landybats currently.

My list is close but a little different, I run 2 Landorus EX, 2 Lucario EX, 3 Hawlucha, 4-4-4 Crobat, 1 Jircahi EX and it has done very well for me. The 2 Lucario EX were helpful against Toads and primal Kyogre.
