Mantine from TRR

PokePower Ripple
Once during your turn, you may remove one damage counter from your pokemon. This power can't be used if Mantine is affected by special condition.

My friends say this Mantine must be active pokemon.
Is that true that this must be active for pokemon power?

it's already been erratea'ed look at the compedium...
this was one essential part of the allmighty offensive defensive dark steelix combo / butterfree healing 4/5 counter's every turn...

== RIPPLES (Mantine - EX:Team Rocket Returns)

* Mantine's Poké-POWER only works when it is the player's Active Pokémon. Official Wording: Once during your turn (before your attack), if Mantine is your Active Pokémon, you may remove 1 damage counter from 1 of your Pokémon (excluding Mantine). This power can't be used if Mantine is affected by a Special Condition. (Dec 16, 2004 PUI Announcements)

Here it is..:D

the truth always suks...

if it could heal even if it is bench, i think u need it to be rare holo level to do that

That card was great...with dark crobat, you would have to one-shot it, or it wouldn't die. Won me a CC before it was errated.

It is strange that my Mantine stated:
"Once during your turn, you may remove one damage counter from one of your pokemon. This power can't be used if Mantine is affected by special condition"

From the compendium, I saw "if Mantine is your active pokemon," in between the sentence "Once during your turn,..." and "... you may remove....."

Is that a typing error for mine?

everything in the compedium replaces the one written on the card, meaning the one on the card is a misprint / might be very broken XD

No matter where it is stated/written/printed differently, you follow and abide by the errata on the Compendium. You play according to how the Compendium wants you to play it, not what the card says.

Charizard has already quoted it from the Compendium so there shouldn't really be any other discussion since the question has been answered unless you don't understand what the Compendium ruling is saying?
