BW/BW2 Masuda Method questions

Hello. I'm on GTS, trying to get a Japanese Ditto so I can attempt to breed shinies for the Masuda Method. However I have been fussy over the natures of the Dittos, and keep returning Dittos that do not have a very good nature back to the owner, and getting a different Ditto every time.

However I have recently heard that the Everstone nature system isn't present if you are breeding two foreign Pokemon.
So I have two questions I would like to be answered:
1) Is it true that Everstones cannot pass down natures while doing the Masuda Method?
2) If that's true, can Power Items be used to pass down IVs?
 
Yeah, some people try to get every nature of ditto in Japanese so that when they breed competitively there is a chance of a shiny. Power items and everstone work in this gen but it's not 100% chance you might not get a perfect shiny.
 
I've been wondering whether using the Everstone stops the effect of Masuda Method breeding altogether because someone else mentioned this.
I'm doubtful, but what I'm trying to say is that what they basically said was:

Masuda Method breeding doesn't work with the Everstone tactic. In other words if one of the parents holds the Everstone then you won't get a shiny whatsoever.

Is this true?

I really doubt it, but I just want to be sure for a friend of mine.
 
Masuda Method will just nullify the chance of Everstone passing down the nature, that's all - when breeding with a foreign Pokemon, Everstone will not pass down its nature.
Power Items should be able to pass down IVs as normal, though.
 
I heard the Everstone CAN pass down the Nature using the Masuda Method this Gen (only this Gen for some reason). That's only from what I've heard.

Yeah I've been using MM for a while now with an everstone and at least in my experience (and thats around a total of 550 eggs in this gen) it seems the 50/50 chance now applies to MM as well as region exclusive breeding. so gl
