Discussion Maxie's Donphan

I wanna get my donphan deck back into action and I was wondering if there were any good ways to pull him off with maxies hidden ball trick. Please feel free to post any suggestions below. Thanks.

Donphan takes one energy and can use Korrina so it doesn't need Maxies. If you really want a turn one Donphan, just use Wally.

I don't think Donphan needs Maxie. Maxie is unreliable and doesn't allow for you to stream Donphan, something vital for the deck. Maxie is also arguably slower and requires you to burn through more resources. Donphan's primary weakness is that it's damage output is getting too low, and Yveltal is a pretty good counter. Maxie won't help with either issue.
