Ruling Mega Dragon Rayquaza + Double Dragon Energy

Hi I'm a bit confused on the DDE and Mega Ray on mega ray it says discard 2 energy attached to this pokemon my thoughts are its perfectly ok to get rid of the DDE or does it have to be 2 specific attachments like one of the older cards which slips my mind? :/
 
The wording on Dragon M Rayquaza EX states discard "2 Energy" not "2 Energy cards". As such, as long as two energy in total are discarded, then it's fine.

Double Dragon Energy would count for both discards required.
