I seem like a real noob for suggesting that this deck can be viable, but I'm not. M Sceptile-EX from AOR can actually be a serious competitor at Worlds and maybe Expanded after that. Here's why.
Here is my decklist:

Strategy: Attack with Mega Sceptile, getting it into play as quickly as possible. Acerola works a treat in this deck for returning damaged Pokémon, because you play it straight down, slap on Spirit Link, Mega Evolve with no reprocussions, before Jagged Sabering the Energy back on. 100 is a really awkward damage number, and unfortunately Spirit Links mean no space for Choice Bands, so I'm using Ariados to poison the opponent to help reach the numbers: I'm basically two-shotting Gardy and Deci at this rate. Worst case scenario is he Guzmas around it, in which case I've got 110 damage on multiple Pokémon. Seems good to me.
Maybe there is a reason this deck hasn't seen all that much play: I know Julien Dallé took it to Worlds last year but with a very different strategy to me.
Please leave feedback and deck advice! It may just be me being silly again and best to stick with good ol' Drampa/Garb but I think this deck has potential for the weeks it remains in Standard for.
- It negates Feather Arrows and Giant Water Shurikens with Theta Stop.
- It hits for cost-efficient, reliable damage.
- It is easy to accelerate energy with Jagged Saber.
- Last chance to take advantage of FoGP. We had a good run, brother.
