Ruling mesprit vs glaceon

mmm this happened last sunday when I was palying for fun...mi friend plays mesprit ...i cant play POKE-POWERS...I retreat my defending pokemon and put glaceon lv.x ...we had an argue because galceonlv.x pokebody says "all your oponent poke powers stop working" so mesprit`s poke power should stop working and I should use calydol right?...he sayd that the mesprit`s poke power was already trigered and no matter what I cant use poke powers...who is right?...me?

Glaceon does not stop Mesprit. They have already used the Power, so the effect is already in place. It doesn't cancel effects of Powers already in place, it only stops further use of Powers.

To chime in, Cancelling and Preventing are two different things. Glaceon prevents but never cancels any powers already done.
