Get Metagross out fast with Spiritomb AR and Broken Time Space and other T/S/S to take out opponent's benched Pokemon.
Use Spiritomb LA to put damage counters on them and take off damage counters from Metagross.
Use Gengar Lv. X to do 30 damage to the opponent's Pokemon with damage counters, Cursegar to move counters to a certain Pokemon to knockout.
Use Crobat Prime and Gengar 17/99 to snipe the opponent's Pokemon.

Thanks!

^He said... (Coming soon)? :p

but hmm...too many single pokemon lineups...too many energies...not enough trainers...too many single copies leads to massive inconsistency.

For any deck to survive it needs a viable strategy, and only 1-3 main Pokemon, not lines, just MAIN Pokemon, so Pokemon that complete the strategy. This deck is all over the place. Stick with one strategy. The "strategy" you posted isn't actually a strategy, it seems you just hope to get something out and do some damage. You have a lot of good cards in the deck, but none of them have synergy with one another.

Here is a quick overview of how to start building a deck:

- Pick a Pokemon to base the deck around.
-OR-
- Pick an overall strategy to base the deck around (like disruption).

- Complete the line for that Pokemon (say you pick Metagross, fill in the Beldum and Metang).

- Look for cards that do something that fits with your strategy.
-OR-
- Look for Pokemon that support your main Pokemon, either it covers the main Pokemon's weakness, or it helps the main Pokemon somehow.

- Fill in the necessary energy you think would go best with your strategy.
- Finally, Pick the trainer, supporters, and stadiums (if any) that also go with your strategy or help you achieve that strategy.

So, your first step; pick between:

- Gengar
- Houndoom
- Crobat
- Metagross
or
- Muk

to base the strategy around. I suggest picking your favorite card.

Thanks for the advice green_monkey. I want to use Muk and Gengar in my deck except my deck will have to be based around Metagross for now. When Triumphant comes out I will probably use Gengar.

So what should I use as the lineup? 3-2-3 or 4-2-2 or something?

LMK Thanks

I assume you mean Metagross from Unleashed. The line is your choice, you can either run 4 for consistency and if you have the room, or 3 if you don't. The lines should then be 4-4-4 or 3-3-3 if you don't have any rare candy. If you do, then obviously they should be 4-3-4 (or 4-2-4 if it works and you need room) or 3-2-3. If you are using Metagross (Unl) I suggest basing the strategy around it's second attack "Double Leg Hammer" which snipes 2 Pokemon for 40 damage. It may seem low, but combo-ed with cards like Crobat G (Pl) and Spiritomb (LA) it's lethal.

Next you also need to see what Metagross' (Unl) weaknesses are and try to cover them. Things like big retreat, slow starts, etc.

Right, Metagross Unleashed. I could do a 3-2-3 (even though I have 2 ATM I'll get one this Fri.) and put in 2 Spiritomb LA. Also, Metagross's Retreat cost won't matter because of It's Poke-Body. For slow starts I will have 2 Spiritomb PA and I will have Rare Candy. Also 2x BTS to keep evolving even if i don't have my rare candies right away.

Gengar Prime when released seems like the best thing to base this off of. I'd get rid of sharpshooter Gengar and add in Cursegar from the AR set. Then keep the one Lvl x and Prime to deal more damage with compound pain and if there's an annoying Lux/Dialgachomp in your way, Gengar X will help stop Luxray and Garchomp. Add more trainers though for consistency.

-1 Judge
-2 Muk
-3 Grimer

+2 Bebe's Search
+1 PONT
+3 Pokemon Collector

Thanks Gengar_is_Pwnage, I put in many more T/S/S and took out the Muk and Houndoom lines, Ill be updating soon. Please give your advice when I update the list. BTW nice name and thanks for the advice.

No problem. I'm running a Gengar deck myself and will soon be putting in a few cards, including prime to make it better (I'm just getting back into the TCG). Went 0-5 at my local BR but it was my first tourney :p.
