I like this list, but I do have a few recommendations in the trainer card area:
  • Overall, I'm not a fan of Ultra Ball when you are missing Tapu Lele. I would rather god with Evosoda/Nest Ball. Lele can only be searched and put in your hand with Ultra Ball, which is why they usually go hand in hand.
  • I'd probably only go with one Rare Candy. Usually its best to evolve manually, and since you are playing 3 Metangs, 3 Rare Candies are a little overboard.
  • I notice a lack of Float Stone. Since you typically want Metagross chilling on the bench, I'd play 3 in place of Switches and a Prof's letter. Float Stones are switches you might be able to use more than once, and the Letter isn't needed as you recover energy from the discard anyway.
  • Olympia is like a Guzma, but worse. I would replace Olympia with a fourth Guzma.
  • Since you have no Lele, you have to up your draw supporter count. Options: Shauna, Ilima, Hala, Lillie. Of those, I am the biggest fan of Shauna as it is consistent. (And I never flip heads for Ilima :) Hala can be good depending on how you plan on using your GX attack each game. I've never been a fan of Lillie, but it is an option. Either way, I'd go with 3 of these side supporters.
Hope this helps.

thanks for the info. I do agree with some but
1. yes it is true without lele ultra ball losses some of its playability. However, it is still viable for getting energy to the discard and still gets specific evo targets. At most i would drop it to 2 nest/2 ultra.
2. yeah i think it can get a clunky. ill cut 2 for 2 Lille.
3. I think that most of the time you can discard easily to retreat metagross which helps my deck in the long run
4. Kinda. Olympia and guzma work in different situations and meet different needs. I do think i could just cut the olympia for a switch though
5. see 2

So who's your main attacker? Necrozma? Because if that's the case then I don't agree with a 4-3-4 Metagross line. In this deck Metagross is looked at as more of a support Pokémon, similar to how Vikavolt supports Tapu Bulu GX. A 3-2-3 or a 3-1-3 line would be better and allow you to add some other cards (Tapu Lele is the first that comes to mind, but I know you don't have any at the moment). I'd recommend one Oranguru because you need draw support and it can help you from getting stuck against a late-game N.

Why aren't you running any Rare Candy? Even with your current 4-3-4 line you still want a couple Rare Candy. I recommend 3 Rare Candy and 2 Skyla so you're able to grab it, along with other key items, more consistently.

Ditch the Professor's Letters. You don't need them. You run 13 as it is already so you should be drawing into them no problem. Especially once you have enough energy in your discard with a Metagross or two on the field.

Overall, I like the deck idea though. I think Necrozma and Metagross work well together and I could see this being hard to stop once it's set up. I do recommend at some point down the road investing in at least two Tapu Lele. I know they're a bit pricey but they will immediately increase this deck's consistency, plus they're going to be in just about every deck for the next couple years so you'll get your use out of them.

i was running 3 rare candies at first but decided to try other things. I can do the 3 again but i still like the 4-3-4 of the metagross line because it seems more consistent to me. I can try the oranguru and extra skylas though that seems good
