Mew ex, 10/14

Which it does, seeing that that's the reason anyone wants it, seeing as they practically put another copy of every pokemon in their deck.
I said to myself: "read these articles, c'mon, it's your fave card", so, well, I listened to the little ditto-like pink thing in my head and read them
my dislikes:
1) Only 1 mentioned a few cards that are able to stop it, while there are many more: Cesation Crystal, Aggron ex, ninjask, Mysterious shard, bannette CG, Aerodactyl LM, (crystal beach), deoxys ex defence DX, ..., and that's only modified
2) People start saying that it's only downside is its weakness, no it's not, being a basic AND an ex is one of the worst combiniations nowadays, also since being based on a body makes it lockable by almost EVERY lock card nowadays. and 90HP does hurt.
3) The only comboes you gusy could come up with where: "mewtrix, yeah it won worlds", other achetypes and just "copy", nobody even bothered taking the time f,dning a new strategy with it -_-, I hate this archetype attitute
4) POWER MOVE FTW, it can seach for rainbow energy without the damage, search for the energies required and save your life, doing damage would actually make it broken.
5) IT'S NOT BECAUSE IT WON WORLDS THAT ITS ONE OF THE BEST CARDS, it gets stopped by A LOT, especially in this format, everyone can tech in a MS or CC, and a 1-1 shedinja line can fit in EVERY deck
mew ex has gone a long way, at 1st people would say it was terrible (look at one of my 1st threads named "mew ex"), people would even go as far as comparing it was lapras ex, and now poeple overrate it, and start calling it the best card in the format, while it's nowere near that, I'm not saying that I hate the card, my deck at worlds had 2 in it, but it's dead in this format.

DukeFireBird! I didn't think you had it in you! jreeves, awesome review! Good job, as always Arc274. Mew EX is, and always will be a popular card IMO in DX-On. (cough) Lugia EX...perfect, you can just have him sitting in the Bench, get Lightning/Water energy, Versatile, E-Blast, OHKO.

Now I'm sure it will have it's problems with Weakness and such, but what card DOESN'T.
You said that EX and Basic is a bad thing. I see it as a quicker way to get out the EX and start abusing it, then taking 2-3 turns just to get one card to get your big EX out.
It IS one of the best cards in the format, if not the best Pokemon in the format, because it is the most versatile (no pun intended) card in the format and for that will allow you to be able to still take control in any point in the game.
Oh and the cards that you said had a chance to beat it... where in the world is ANYBODY ever going to see 75% of those cards? Mysterious Shard? Aggron EX? AERODACTYL LM?!?!? Please those cards all suck. NOBODY is going to use them competitively and win unless they release some godly combo with them, which I very highly doubt.

I'm not going to say I know exactly what is in this format, but I want to know how this card that won worlds 15+ in a harder metagame where it can be sniped easily, is dead in a much easier and not as hardened new metagame?cute-mew said:

well, we can say that this card was the one of the best card released in ex series!
it's body ... have already told us whats the real "versatile", being able to copy any pokemon's atk, heck it's the first time in pokemon tcg history!!
BTW, power move is good by itself, u can search for multi, rainbow, ... so much possiblity, thus making the energy costs needed to copy an atk isnt a big problem for it
and think how many archtypes it inspired : MMS, LBS, mewtric, mynx....
and thats not all, there must be more and more coming in this season.
