Pokemon: 22

  • Mienshao 4-4 FF
    Machamp 4-3-4 FF
    Dedenne 2 FF
    Landorus FF
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 30

  • Rare Candy 2
    Evosoda 4
    Korrina 4
    Cheren 2
    Shauna 2
    Focus Sash 4
    Muscle Band 2
    Sparkling Robe 1
    Fighting Stadium 2
    Tool Retriever 3
    Switch 2
    Professor's Letter 1
    Energy Retrieval 1

Energy: 8

  • 4 Strong Energy
    4 Fighting

Strategy:

Get out Mienshoa with focus sashes.
Use his 1 energy attack (40 and return him to hand)
Bringin out a benched Mienshoa with focus sash.
Now using strong energy you are dealing 60 damage for 1 energy
With up to 4 machamps on bench that's up to 80 more.
With fighting stadium a potential 20 more. And with muscle band (when you don't need focus sash) a further 20. Total potential 180 for 1 energy.
The strategy is you never give your opponent a chance to kill you. Your pokemon can't be one shot killed thanks to focus sash. And the next turn they are back in your hand fully healed.

Opinions welcome I don't have many trainers to work with as I started at XY
I was thinking of putting in switches to counter my machamps being bought up with Lysander /reversal. Or maybe putting in double colourless to use machamps attacks or mienshoas second attack when I don't need to return him to my hand

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

RE: Mienshoa / machamp

You will not need emolga when you have dedenne, they do the same job and dedenne has a better attack. You could dorp the evosoda count to 2 and drop the machoke count from 3 down to 1. So thats opened 4 spots already. I would fill those spots with proffesor sycamore. You are also running 4 Stadiums, where i thik you should pick one of the stadiums and only run 2 copies of it. So right now lets say drop the moutain ring. Thats 2 more spots opened up. I would also drop the fighting energy count becuase 15 energy in a deck where your main attacker only needs 1 is a lot. Drop it down to 7 figthing energy. Now we have 6 spots open. I would put 4 Shauna to give you some more draw power. And the last 2 cards you could put in 2 switch.

RE: Mienshoa / machamp

Thabks a lot the place I needed help the most was trainers as I don't know what ones exist. Since I stopped buying black and white base set and only just restarted at flashfire.
So will need to get ahold of some trainers.

The main reason I chose so many evosoda though was Incase my opponent played N or red card. While I had my Mienshoa in my hand. Drawing back Mienshoa or evosoda increases my chance of getting him back into a benched mianfoo.

What about the hawlucha ex's you think they are needed?
I know dedene has a better attack but Emolga has free retreat which is why I chose him but if you think 2 dedene is better then I'll go for that. I'm not used to this format at all so all help is very appeciated.

Also what you think about the deck in general any potential?

Oh and as for the 4 stadiums how about 1 of each? I chose mountain ring Incase I go against a bench hitter that can try and take out my machamps or things that do damage to two pokemon. Cause if any of my benched pokemon get damage the focus sash won't work on them.
Both stadiums have a use. But again I'm not sure how popular bench hitters are this format. The new blaziken could OHKO my machamps

RE: Mienshoa / machamp

With out the fighting stadium you will still be doing a good amount of damage so you could just run 2 moutain ring if you are worried about bench hitters, which are quite popular right now. You will not need that many evosoda becaus eit wont be that difficult to get multiple Mienshoa out. I do think it has potential. Mienshoa has the interesting attack and will be played in a deck like this or with trevenant form XY.

RE: Mienshoa / machamp

Yeah I was thinking of teching in trevenant so when I return to hand I put out trevenant. But then in thought that would require a hole different set up. But it would protect me from N and red card

RE: Mienshoa / machamp

Oh yeah. And I've just noticed that focus sash is discarded if it's effect is used. Which is good and bad. Good as it allows me to attach the muscle band before I attack. Bad because I only get 4 uses
It there and pokemon with powers / attacks. Or trainers/supporters that I can use to get them back out?

RE: Mienshoa / Machamp

Diggersby from XY will let you get 2 items back with its pickup attack, dowsing machine has you discard 2 cards to get any trainer card back. Sableye from dark exploeres has junk hunt but the card will not be legal for standard play.

dowsing machine allows you to get 1 back or any trainer back if needed

and would luciaro ex be better instead? for 2 energy does 60 + if you had strong energy, band etc. and allows you to draw to 6 cards in hand.

How rare are ace specs from packs? same as regular shiny? Cause I might try my luck and buy some packs. Thanks. For now I'm gonna try diggersby since I actually have him already. A 1-1 line should be sufficient

Keep in mind that you would have to discard the focus sash after your opponent hits you.
And plus, a startling megaphone will wreak havoc.

yeah i realised that a while back. I managed to get almost every card online just missing the machamps (which is a big part)
i only have 1 focus sash down at a time to reduce effects of megaphone.
I'm considering putting in stadium that increases evolved pokemons health by 30, that means mienshoa gets 120 hp. so it is less likely to be OHKO'd and therefor less likely to have to discard focus sash.

I'm using a landorus online aswell (the Furious fists one) which works well, but definitely not vital.
I'm using Lucario instead of hawlucha online which works alot better. just dont have one in real life.
and I've added in 4 of the tool retrievers. to remove uneeded focus sashes and put down a muscle band before dealing damage for an extra 20.

overall deck is working pretty well online and that's without the machamps, just need to keep playtesting trial error, get my machamps then ill be able to removing the deadweight.

How about switching into trevenant and locking their items?
