Minimum time a set is mod legal

Does anyone know if there is a minimum amount of time that a set has before being retired? In a lot of games, its two years. I'm trying to figure out how much of my collection is on the chopping block this year...
 
Instead of that, know that they cut off around 3 sets each year. That will mean DP-SW.

I think that the average life is 2 seasons.
 
I would say the average set lasts around 2 to 2 1/2 seasons, depending on what the rotation will be and when the set was released during the year.
 
Its about three sets a season, HP CG, Df and PK were recently kicked. I really hope they dont kick out GE
 
Assuming four sets get rotated out every year (not always the case but likely), the sets last for about two and a half years to one and a half.
