since rockets persian ex is part of unseen forces, and rockets meowth is part of TRR you cant play rockets persian ex.

Rocket's Persian is still a legal card. It's attack can be copied in some cases by other cards that you can actually get out ... or that your opponent can.

I keep wondering why the OP cards aren't in the carddex.

NO.Because the Rocket's Meowth is from TRR(which you know) so there is no way you can put Rocket's Persian Ex in play.

Just for example the new Shiftry ex (pk) can use attacks from cards that are in your opponents hand. Should my opponent have that card for some reason ... and yes I realize that they can't put it in play ... Shiftry could copy it's attack.

I saw someone here with an idea that let them use the attack from their own hand but I would have to search out the thread.

You can "play" anything in the Modified Cardex even though you can't do anything with it. You can play 2 *insert evolved Pokémon here* with Ala* and the rest are energies and the deck's still legal, if not a bit stupid.

Think of it this way.

Is a card in the Carddex? If so, then you can put it in a tournament-legal deck.

Don't waste your time thinking about insignificant things like Evolution lines. ;)
