Lets discuss it. PS3 or 360.

I'm getting the prestige or harden edition for ps3. It looks like fun. Never owned any of the other CoDs, but rent WaW a lot.
 
I don't know the gameplay from MW2, but I played MW and WAW. They are nothing to do, believe me. Modern Warfare is just a shooting game, while in WAW you massacre the enemy soldiers. In MW you shoot them, in WAW you can cut their necks, shoot them and burn them. C the difference?
 
Modern Warfare 2 isn't CoD 6. In fact it isn't even a CoD at all. CoD 6 will be WaW2 taking place in Vietnam. Since a different publisher group makes MW2 it's only being called MW2 rather than MW2CoD6. And just throwing it out there, but MW2 doesn't look like the number 1 game in it's genre coming out around then. I get a PS3 world magazie and there I learned about M.A.G (Massive Action Game) *M.A.G is the actual title.* It can be played solo or on the playstation network and has everything of MW2 and even more. Except one big difference is during the mode Domination you can get 258 people on one enourmous field at least 20 times larger then any CoD map. You are then broken into 2 teams of 124, each team is divided into 4 32 platoons and eachplatoon iProxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0

broken into 8 player squads. Invest in a bluetooth headset because you will need to plan. Your own squad will have a channel that no one else can join.
And each squad will have a leader, then a leader of the platoon, and finally the leader of the team. You can move up the more experienced and well trained you are. Squad leaders have their own channel with the platoon leader to form an all out assault and the platoon leaders have a channel with the other platoon leaders and the leader of the team. So it would not be advised to not have a bluetooth headset. And guess what, if you're leader dies the next highest ranked member from that squad will take over so one second you may be taking orders, the next second you might be giving them. The goal of Domination is too control different spaces of the map and eventually rule the land. There are a lot of other modes such as, sinle player, 64 player deathmatch, and everything in between. So now you have a decision, MAG or MW2.
 
I am gonna pic it for Xbox 360 for sure, oh wait, I only have a 360 and a Wii. I don't seem to have options. Maybe the regular edition.

M.A.G. sounds like fun. It would be better for the 360 cause PSN isn't that strong. I've played MW and WaW so I know what to expect.

stop whining about the people who call it that. If I say COD6 then normal people know what game I'm talking about.

Well, it leads to Cod 6 seen at my way. But is still a great game. A game would not change because of the name.
 
it is still the same great shooting game
it is just the company that made cod4 wants to be more well known
 
Actually, it's Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 (hence they added Call Of Duty back), I will be calling it cod6 so it's easier. Yeah, so CoD6 will surely be game of the year. But I do hope they don't make it to similar to CoD4, otherwise it'll be slightly more boring in my opinion. I will be getting the Hardened Edition as I want to get the classic Call Of Duty which comes with it.

IMO it is harder with that kind of game. seems it will be packed with tons more of action.

All of you gotta go check out the new trailer for MW2. It features multiplayer, and IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!

The maps and guns look like they have been improved on SO MUCH as compared to MW. What I love the most - customizable killstreaks! This game is gonna be awesome! I was gonna wait for the release to get it, but I'm gonna go preorder it tomorrow!!

I actually think they added the CoD moniker back on. Now its CoD:MW2 I believe. My source isn't completely faithful but he's almost never wrong....

Anyways I'll get the XBOX360 because its a better multiplayer console and all my friends are there
 
^ You are correct it is CoD : Modern Warfare 2 now. I am going to purchase an Xbox 360, not because I think it is better than the PS3, but I already have a PS3 and with an Xbox 360 I will also be able to play with my friends on XBL. So yeah, I'll be getting MW2 Hardened Edition on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
 
Infinity Ward are the creators and owners of the Call of Duty franchise. Infinity Ward are the people who made Call of Duty 1, 2 and 4. Which explains why 1, 2 and 4 are awesome and 3 and 5 are full of complete suck. Infinity Ward are making Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 2 was originally going to be called just that. I think it was because the basis of the Call of Duty games was to be WW1 and WW2 era combat, rather than modern. Thus, they were going to split it into a new franchise. Buttttt they eventually figured out that more people would recognise and as such, buy the game, if it was related to the Call of Duty franchise. Thus, why they are now calling it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I'm going to get it for PC. Because that's just how I roll.
