Moltres EX?

Hi, I'm new to the game and am wondering how viable a team plasma deck built around Moltres EX would be.

I was thinking with Blacksmith and Colress Machine, you can hypothetically set up Moltres's Power Flame move for 120 turn 1. With multiple Deoxys EX on the beach and Muscle Band equipped, this would OHKO most pokemon in the game.

It would be viable but in my opinnion not as good as lugia EX. I say that because Lugia EX does the same amount of damage for the same amount of energy and alows you to take an extra prize card.

Yeah. when you add deoxys ex x4 and muscle band to lugia it will do 180 dmg, which will ko almost anything save megas in the metagame.

Agreeing here. For Plasma, Lugia is by far the better option when it comes to KO power and efficiency. While it does require that you discard a Plasma energy to attack, you can recover them with Thundurus-EX and Shadow Triad, and you take can extra prize when you knock something out.

If you'd rather use a Fire-Based deck and the Blacksmith engine, try Charizard-EX (Combustion Blast), Pyroar FLF, and Reshiram LTR. All three of these are more efficient attackers than Moltres-EX, and in the case of Pyroar has a very good Abilitiy (can't be damaged by Basic Pokemon).

I disagree with everyone here. In the right situation Moltres EX is viable, but he is only viable if you have the other 3 bird/dragons/things. I have seen a deck(I don't remember where) were you hit for every weakness that is in the meta game now. Moltres hits Virgen, Zapdos hits Yvetal, Articuno hits Donphan, Lugia EX is for prizes, and Deoxy takes out Psychic types. Of course this deck is not the best, but it is still usable and somewhat good.
