This is just a fun thread I decided to make to see which cards could bring about the most destruction. (Ironically not the Destroyer King himself, M-Tyranitar-EX). I've put together the top three, and I'll periodically expand the list if other people contribute.

#1: Darmanitan (NXD) Somehow, this humble 'mon has managed to surpass the legendary Mewtwo-EX. With Gardevoir (NXD) on your Bench and Vileplume (BCR) on your opponent's, with 54 Psychic Energy attached and on flipping heads for every Energy, on a Pokemon with Psychic Weakness, Darmanitan's DarMAXitan attack can dish out an insane 21,600 damage! Contributed by Jabberwock.

#2: Lurantis-GX
Lurantis is a Rayquaza-EX on steroids! Venusaur (SLI) on your Bench and a Vileplume (BCR) on your opponent's, and with 54 Grass Energy attached, Lurantis-GX using Chloroscythe GX on a Pokemon with Grass Weakness will hit for 21,320 damage. Contributed by Elray.

#3: Mewtwo-EX:
Believe or not, Mewtwo can do more damage than Yveltal. With Gardevoir (NXD) and Vileplume (BCR) on the bench and 52 Psychic Energy on Mewtwo, when using X-Ball on an opposing Gardevoir (NXD) with 52 Psychic Energy attached to it, Mewtwo does 16,320 damage. Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire, updated by AuraStormLucario.

#4: Deoxys-EX:
The DNA Pokemon is good for more than just support. With the ever-present Vileplume (BCR) on the bench, after being switched into by Whimsicott (BCR) using Fluffy Tag and using 7 PlusPowers (Dowsing Machine + Puzzle of Time), a Muscle-Banded Deoxys-EX--with double Iris in play after your opponent has taken five prize cards and 4 Empoleon BKT in play--using Helix Force on a Gardevoir (NXD) with 56 Psychic Energy attached to it will deal 14,900 damage. Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire, updated by bbninjas.

#5: Malamar-EX:
Malamar-EX's MAXamar attack, with an effective 62 Energy attached (4 of them are DCE), with a Vileplume on your opponent's side, getting all heads, does 14,880 damage to a Pokémon with Weakness to [D]. The above can also be done with Audino (EPO), Togekiss (ROS), and Vanilluxe (PLF) to a lesser extent. Contributed by Jabberwock.

#6: Rayquaza-EX (DRX):
With 1 Fire Energy and 57 Lightning Energy (or vice versa), as well as a Vileplume (BCR) on your opponents bench, this monster does a whopping 13,680 damage with Dragon Burst. Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire.

#7: Yveltal-EX: When you have Vileplume on your bench, 51 Darkness Energy and 4 DCE attached to Yveltal-EX, you can hit an opposing M-Gengar-EX with 54 Psychic Energy attached and a Gardevoir (NXD) on the bench for 13,440 damage. Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire.

#8: Camerupt-EX: A Camerupt-EX with 58 Fire Energy on it deals 11,600 damage to the fire-weak Defending Pokemon (When opponent has Vileplume BCR on bench). Contributed by Vom.

#9: Delphox-EX:
When you opponent has 58 Energy cards in their hand, Delphox-EX (with all the Vileplume, Fluffy Tag, double Iris, etc. mentioned in the T-Tar post), this magic fox hits for 10,200 damage. Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire.

#10: Leafeon (PLF): Leafeon, with the WhimsiPower Bonus, does everyone a favor by doing 9,800 damage to an opponent's Seismitoad-EX when said opponent has a benched Gardvoir (DEX this time, cause it looks cooler :p) with 55 Psychic Energy attached. Contributed by bbninjas.

#11: Haxorus (PLB): Haxorus PLB69's Dragonaxe attack, with 56 Metal Energy attached and a Vileplume on your opponent's side, does 8,960 damage to a Pokémon with Weakness to [N]. Contributed by Jabberwock.

#12: Huntail (PRC): A Huntail with one Water Energy attached and a benched Gardevoir (NXD) with 53 Psychic Energy does 8,560 damage to a Pokemon weak to [W] with Vileplume (BCR) on the opponent's bench. Contributed by bbninjas.

#13:
With Gallade's cousin, Gardevoir, on the bench and 53 Psychic Energy attached to Gallade, the Blade Pokemon deals 8,480 damage to another Gallade.-----------Gigalith's Revenge Cannon attack, with 4 Strong Energy, a Muscle Band, 260 damage on each of 4 Benched Giant Caped Wailord-EX and 230 damage on each of 4 Benched Primal Groudon/Kyogre (Sky Field in play obviously), with a Vileplume on your opponent's side, and Iris in play, does 8,480 damage to a Pokémon with Weakness to [F].
Gallade Contributed by bbninjas. Gigalith Contributed by Jabberwock, edited by bbninjas.

#14:
The field: Skyfield is in play. Player B has taken five Prize Cards and has an M-Gengar-EX with a plasma badge active. Their bench consists of 4 Umbreon (PLF) and a Vileplume (BCR). The M-Gengar-EX has 29 damage counters on it. Player A has a Whimsicott (RCR) active and a bench of 4 Deoxys-EX, a Magnezone (PLS), and an M-T-Tar-EX with a Team Plasma Badge and Muscle Band attached. The attack: Player A uses Fluffy Tag, switching into T-Tar. The next turn, Player A plays 2 Iris, 4 Pluspower, a Dowsing Machine to get back a Pluspower, and uses Destroyer King for a grand total of 8,240 damage. --- Skyfield is in play, with four Lurantis (SM25), Magnezone (PLS) and Vileplume (BCR) on your Bench, using the WhimsPower combo (updated with Choice Band). Your opponent has 58 cards in their hand, meaning that you're hitting for 8,240.
M-Tyranitar-EX contributed by arulz. Trevenant (GRI) contributed by Elray and edited by bbninjas.

#15:
EX-haters rejoice! Swampert outclasses Keldeo-EX! A Swampert with 56 Water Energy attached to it deals 6,880 damage (I think Vileplume and weakness is kind of a given by now).
Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire.

#16:
Weavile's Vilify attack, discarding 55 Pokémon from your hand, with a Vileplume on your opponent's side, does 6,600 damage to a Defending Pokémon with Weakness to [D].
Contributed by Jabberwock.

#17:
Rotom's Poltergeist attack, with 58 cards in your opponent's hand, after applying Muscle Band, Fluffy Tag, 4 Benched Deoxys-EX, Quad Pluspower + Dowsing Machine, Double Iris, and Vileplume, does 5,640 damage to a Defending Pokémon with Weakness to [L].
Contributed by Jabberwock.

#18:
Probably lower on the list than most would think, this pony still packs a punch. With 58 Water Energy attached, Keldeo-EX does 4,840 damage.
Contributed by Vom.

#19:
Keldeo's Fire-Type-Clone deals 4,680 damage with 56 Fire Energies attached.
Contributed by Supa_Hot_Fire.

#20:
Kingdra with one Energy attached and 55 in any combination of Water and Lightning Energy in your discard does 4,400 damage to a dragon-weak Pokemon.
Contributed by bbninjas.

#21:
When Machamp (who is not the champion here) uses Steaming Mad with a Team Plasma Badge, 4 Benched Umbreons (PLF), a Benched Magnezone, 2 Benched Deoxys-EX, a Fluffy Tag Switch-in, and 25 damage counters on it, it does 3,160 damage with 4 Strong Energy, Skyfield in play, double Iris, and 5 PlusPower.
Pokemon Contributed by Vom, attack changed fo' mo' damage, then edited by bbninjas for EVEN MORE DAMAGE.

#22:
A Heatran-EX with the WhimsiPower bonus attacking an M Venusaur-EX with 38 damage counters on it (thanks to a Team Plasma Badge, 4 benched Umbreons, and 4 benched Floettes (FLF 64)) does 2,840 damage.
Contributed by bbninjas.

#23:
These two both do base 300 damage, so they ended up tying for number twenty-one. With a muscle band and 4 Altaria (DRX), plus the aforementioned buffs for M-Tyranitar-EX, the duo deals 2,360 damage.
Contributed by Vom.

#24:
A Team Plasma Badged M Aggron-EX with 31 damage counters on it (Umbreon) taking advantage of Celebi-EX's Time Recall by using Raging Hammer will do 2,280 damage to a metal-weak Pokemon after being switched into by Whimsicott when you have a Deoxys-EX and Magenezone on the bench, Double Iris, and Quad PP + Dowsing Machine.
Contributed by bbninjas.

#25:
P-Groudon-EX with 4 Strong Energy, a Team Plasma Badge (and 3 benched Deoxys-EX), Fighting Stadium in play, a switch-in by Whimsicott, dual Iris, and 5 PlusPowers, hits for 2,080 damage.--------With 8 Team Aqua's Muk in play, 4 Jellicent (BCR) on your bench, and a Muscle Band, Aqua Impact deals 2,080 damage to a Camerupt-EX.
P Groudon-EX Contributed by Vom, edited by bbninjas. Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX Contributed by bbninjas.

1580*4 = 8240 (Weakness)

M-Tyranitar-EX:

No coin flips, no weakness.

Stadium: Training Center

Prizes Taken:
Attacker: 0 Defender: 5

Attacker's Field:
Active - M Tyranitar EX with Team Plasma Badge and Dark Claw as tools.
- 4 Deoxys EX
-Whimsicott BCR

Defender's Field:
Active - Conkeldurr NVI with 56 Fighting Energy attached and 128 damage counters.

Conkeldurr's base HP is 140
The Craftmanship ability gives +20 HP for each Fighting Energy. 56 x 20 for a total of 1,120.
Training Center adds another 30 HP.
140 + 1,120 + 30 = 1,290 HP.

M Tyranitar EX's base damage does 110 damage.
Using Whimsicott's Fluffy Tag attack the previous turn adds 40.
4 Deoxy EX (Team Plasma Badge) adds 40, Dark Claw 20 more.
110 + 40 +40 + 20 = 210
4 Plus Power using Dowsing Machine for a 5th Plus Power.
210 + 50 = 260
M Tyranitar EX does 60 more damage for each damage counter on the defending Pokemon.
128 x 60 = 7,680
7,680 + 260 = 7,940

7,940 damage with no weakness and no coin flips.

Barely outclassed by the Tyranitar set on the list, I think this one deals the most damage sans weakness that I've seen.

Rocket's Hitmonchan:

I know infinite damage flippers are no fun, but how about 32∞ damage flippers? Bother the Standard format rule.

Your Active Pokémon
Exeggcute HS63
Weakness changed to Fighting by a Porygon BS39's Conversion 1 attack.

Your Benched Pokémon
Vileplume BCR3

The Defending Pokémon
Rocket's Hitmonchan (Gym Heroes 11)

Rocket's Hitmonchan uses Crosscounter. Exeggcute uses Continuous Eggsplosion for ∞ damage. This becomes 4∞ damage due to Vileplume. Rocket's Hitmonchan's Crosscounter activates, flips heads, and does twice that damage, plus the x4 multiplier (Vileplume), for 32∞ damage.

The idea of this thread is a fun list that anyone can contribute to.

Rules-
  • No move copiers - Move copiers, i.e. Mew-EX, would just clog the list with multiple entries of themselves.
  • All cards must be legal in Expanded Format (new releases ARE allowed) - Makes things easier to keep track of.
  • No infinite coin-flippers - Infinite damage = no fun.
  • Must be possible in a 60 card deck - I hope the reasoning for that one is obvious...
You will receive credit in the OP when your idea is added. Post away!

#3: Deoxys-EX: The DNA Pokemon is good for more than just support. After being switched into by Whimsicott (BCR) using Fluffy Tag, a Deoxys-EX using Helix Force on a Gardevoir (NXD) with 57 Psychic Energy attached to it will deal 3460 damage.

Please post your ideas! The idea of this thread is a fun list that anyone can contribute to.

Rules-
  • No Mew-EX - Mew-EX can use the moves of all Pokemon, so it would clog too many spots on the list.
  • No damage modifying Trainers - This includes Stadiums, Supporters, and Items.
  • All cards must be legal in Expanded Format (Ancient Origins IS allowed) - Makes things easier to keep track of.
  • No infinite coin-flippers - Infinite damage = no fun.
  • Must be possible in a 60 card deck - I hope the reasoning for that one is obvious...
  • Don't factor Weakness and Resistance - It makes the numbers more impressive, but said numbers are more accurate without.

If you're looking for most damage possible (as per the thread title), it doesn't really make sense to not include Weakness/Resistance, as the most accurate numbers would include Weakness/Resistance. This also holds true for the damage modifying Trainers rule. If you won't allow the most damage to exploit Weakness and damage modifying trainers, by using cards such as Vileplume BCR, Iris, and Silver Bangle, then it would make more sense to call the thread "Most Damage Possible (With Several Restrictions)" rather than "Most Damage Possible".

It also doesn't make much sense to not include Mew-EX, but allow things like Zoroark BLW, Kecleon PLF, or M Gengar-EX as they can serve the same function as Mew-EX, possibly even better than Mew-EX.

You brought up some good points. I'll modify the rules a little. I had forgotten about other move copiers, but I think I'll maintain a rule of no move copiers, as the whole list would then be multiple entries of them.

My contributions to this (note that all calculations assume that the Defending Pokémon is weak to the Attacking Pokémon, that Vileplume BCR is in play, that Whimsicott BCR used Fluffy Tag during your last turn and that you have a Muscle Band attached, in addition to other mentioned damage modifiers):
  • A Camerupt EX with 59 Fire Energy on it deals 11 800 damage to the Defending Pokémon. No Whimsicott here because it takes up 2 spots that could be used for Energy (100 extra damage).
  • A M Tyranitar EX with 2 Muscle Bands attached to it will deal 6 280 damage to a M Gengar EX that has 23 damage counters on it and a Giant Cape attached, which is still a lot :V
  • A Keldeo-EX with 58 Water Energy on it deals a whooping 4 840 damage to the Defending Pokémon.
  • A Dragon M Charizard EX with 4 Fight Song Altaria deals 1 760 damage to the Defending Pokémon, same with Dragon M Rayquaza EX.
  • A P Groudon EX with 4 Strong Energy+Fighting Stadium deals a disappointing 1 320 damage. It's disappointing because it's P Groudon we're talking about >:|
  • A Poisoned/Burned/Confused Machamp EX with 4 Strong Energy on it+Fighting Stadium deals 1 160 to the Defending Pokémon-EX.

M Tyranitar EX (bench: 4 Deoxys EX and 1 Pasma storm Magnezone and 1 BCR vileplume and 1 whimsicott w fluffy tag, attacked last turn)

Base damage = 110
Whimsicott's Fluffy Tag +40.
4 Deoxy EX and plasma badge +40
1 muscle band + 20
110 + 40 +40 + 20 = 210
4 Plus Power + Dowsing Machine +50
2x Iris (after 5 prizes taken) + 100
210 + 50 + 100 = 360

Vs

M Gengar EX (bench: 4 plasma umbreon)

Plasma badge + 4 Umbreon +80 HP
80+220 = 300 HP
has 29 damage counters on him

Damage:
360 + (60 x 29) = 2050

I like the creativity, but there's a no move copiers rule precisely for this reason. It might get an honorable mention, though. ;)

What about LaserBank and recycle?

Here is the problem with the energies - you cant have 57 or something energies because that means each player has 0 prize cards. wat

And now for some actual content, because for some reason SHF wants to keep this Standard.

Rotom PLS49's Poltergeist attack, with 58 cards in your opponent's hand, after applying Muscle Band, Fluffy Tag, 4 Benched Deoxys-EX, and Vileplume, does 5,040 damage to a Defending Pokémon with Weakness to [L].

Weavile PLF66's Vilify attack, discarding 57 Pokémon from your hand, with a Vileplume on your opponent's side, does 6,840 damage to a Defending Pokémon with Weakness to [D].

Gigalith DRX67's Revenge Cannon attack, with 240 damage on each of 4 Benched Wailord and 230 damage on each of 4 Benched Primal Groudon/Kyogre (Sky Field in play obviously), with a Vileplume on your opponent's side, does 7,640 damage to a Pokémon with Weakness to [F].

I'm also not entirely sure the 1st place (Mewtwo-EX) is possible. One player would need to somehow reduce the hand size of the non-Mewtwo player in order to not be left with a few Psychic Energy in hand on the last turn. The only way I know of to do this in Expanded is N, which would require Prizes being taken and therefore Pokémon having been Knocked Out. You can't say it's Sudden Death, either, because there's no way to tie with those cards.

If a Grand Finals (I'm just going SSB terms here, don't know if they use that in Pokemon) at Worlds ends in a tie, is it sudden death, or a tie? If it's a tie, I have some editing to do...

Haxorus PLB69's Dragonaxe attack, with 56 Metal Energy attached and a Vileplume on your opponent's side, does 8,960 damage to a Pokémon with Weakness to [N].
