Well, this is the thread to tell people what you're most nostalgic game(s) are! I'll start. I have a list of 4 games that are far more nostalgic then any other games, here they are:(All N64, which is by far the most nostalgic system for me!)
Loz, Oot(Typical!)
Loz, MM(Man, I still remember when I got this, so long ago... I loved that game, but I never did get every mask! My favorite form was zora.
MK 64(This used to be my favorite game to play with my dad, and now it's the Wii version. It seems so long ago that I got it now(close to 10 years!) but I still remember fondly. I had no idea we would get so much play time and fun out of it. ... ... ... I was always Mario and my dad was li'l Toad...
DK 64(Wow, oh wow. I LOVED this game so much! So MANY memories... Though I never thought about graphics, they seemed good at the time. The boss battles were exciting. The levels were colorful and bright or dark and moody. I put in so many hours and yet I pathetically never beat it! And every time I saved a Kong it was a tremendous feeling of accomplishment even if I already did it on another file! The multiplayer was exhilerating, and I always played my dad, who was always Diddy while I was always Lanky, until I unlocked Krusha. Then I always PWNED Diddy!
Pokemon Gold(Such a great game and I don't even remember when I got it. I think I never even beat the 1st Kanto gym, but when I found through playing that you can go to Kanto I was so excited! And back when I thought lv. 40 was SOOOOOO high, I had gotten an in-game traded machamp to 60 sum'(I think 69!) I thought it was basically the god of the whole in-game universe(Bad, really, REALLY bad, I know. T_T! Then the internal battery ran out... Oh well, I'll be getting HG/SS for sure!
Super Mario 64(Typical again! XD)
OK, there's my list! They're all very nostalgic, but DK is 1st, MK is 2nd and the Loz games are 3rd together. They're together b/c playing them when I was so young, they didn't feel like different games, but more one grand adventure! 4th is Super Mario 64, then Gold is 5th.
So, have fun reminiscing!

1. Super mario brothers (1, 2 and 3): reason is because they are just too fun!!

2. Mario kart 64: it had some of the greatest stages ever.

3. Kirby and the crystal shards: You could play as king dedede and had combinations!

4. Kid icarus: I don't know but it is the only and best apperance of Pit (from ssbb) and it was addicting.

SSBB was the best appearance of everybody in SSBB! XD But, interesting, I've actually never played any of those games 'cept for MK 64!

Pokemon Crystal and Super Mario Bros. are the most nostalgic for me. Mainly the graphics and sound bring back so many memories to me.

dmaster out.

Yeah, Pokemon Crystal is pretty nostalgic for me. So are the first Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy games, along with this one old Star Wars game that me and my Dad used to play a lot. I kind of miss when we did stuff together so I still play the game now and then. Other than that there isn't too much, but Dragon Ball Z games also bring back some good memories, haha.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake 3 Arena. I played those games a lot when I was younger. I'd play them still if my laptop had the capacity to run them..

I always get this huge wave of nostalgia over me when I play the original Legend of Zelda, even though I didn't play it until long after OoT and others. I don't know, the game just has something strangely nostalgic about it ._.

Games which feel nostalgic and which were really part of my youth are the old Namco games, although I play Pac-Man the most out of those nowadays, I think Pole Position has to be the most nostalgic, just because it's such an ancient racing game.

Then there's Super Mario Bros., a game I did play when I was young, but for some reason do not at all feel nostalgic about. I guess, by today's standards, it's still a pretty good platformer. The same goes for the Megaman series, Super Mario 64 and OoT, I guess it just even more demonstrate how timeless these games are...

- Lylat Wars was the first game I ever played on the N64. It is such a good game that really deserves a proper remake. Incredibly nostalgic because in Lylat Wars, every single line of speech is AWESOME FOR SOME REASON and truly memorable.

- Doom 64, I played this a lot... I can still remember the two best passwords for it, as well as picture every single detail in the first level. Oh my lord so good, the Cyber Demon is the scariest enemy I have ever played against.

- Super Mario 64 because it is Super Mario 64.

-Goldeneye... oh man how many hours of my life did I spend on this?

Now that I think about it most of my favourite games come from the Nintendo 64... truly, it was an era of golden gaming ;(

Oh, god. Pole Position. I hate it. I tried to like it, but I didn't. It's just bad.

Ah! How could I forget! *goes to update first post with Super Mario 64*

Well, I guess you just didn't play it as one of your 1st games ever ;)
It was a pretty good racing game for its time, BTW, with its one course, and diverse choice of one vehicle :O

Super Smash Bros., Pokemon Red and Blue and Pokemon Puzzle League for me. I could spend a long time just playing them for the nostalgia.

Lol, I guess not!

SNES games are what I grew up on! Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid, Kirby Superstar, Kirby's Dream Course, DKC 2 and 3, Super Mario RPG... I love that stuff.

Oh and Megaman Battle Network 2... still easily in my top 5 favorite games of all time.

Hi
Zombies ate my neighbors for super nes
I can remember as a young girl i spent countless nights fighting the giant baby in the mall only to resort to calling the 900 number and costing my parents about 25.00,, and that was a lot back then....
allthough i never did beat this one and it still haunts me . The lack of a save feature makes it impossible for me to dedicate 50 hours to the cause like i used to
great question

Anything I played from ages 6-10. Pretty much Pokemon Gold, Mortal Combat, Sonic the Hedgehog (on Sega Genesis) and a number of games on the 64. I remember playing at my friends house almost every day. Good times...

Thanks! And welcome to Pokebeach, even though your post is hard to understand!

Nostalgic games? I've been around for a while, but I can think of a few that take me back in ways that no other games can.

-Super Mario Bros.
I think we all remember where we were when we first played Super Mario Brothers. When the game was released, it was a time when most games were only one screen affairs and many of them can be beat in minutes. However, Super Mario Bros. was a game with eight huge worlds with four levels each, it was the first actual adventure in gaming. It had super mushrooms that made you big, piranha plants, fireballs, beanstalks, winged turtles, leaping fish, castles, and so much more. It just didn't seem possible. And even more amazing, when the Nintendo Entertainment System was released, this was just a launch title. Everyone who played Super Mario Brothers at that time will always remember where they were when they did, and they knew that the gaming world would never be the same.

-The Legend of Zelda
Another game that changed everything, this one was an adventure so involved, that it had to be the first game ever to feature a battery backup save system, which beat convoluted password systems all to hey. Not only that, the lack of passwords meant that each game was your own, you couldn't just pick up another copy and pick up from someone else's progress, the game was entirely your own. This game also brilliantly allowed you to conquer any of the games eight dungeons in just about any order you wanted, with a vast overworld to travel between them. At a glance, one would wonder how a story about a boy in green picking up a wooden sword and fighting killer octopi would leave a lasting impression on the gaming world, to the point that it would spawn a franchise that remains strong to this day. But if you played the NES original, you knew exactly how.

-Kid Icarus
When you pressed "power" on your NES, you were treated to one of the most memorable tunes in gaming. The music in this game is so catchy, it will be with you forever, I kid you not. If you're out to give this one a try, it's a hard game, and a little on the cheap side. A physical copy will be hard to find and expensive, so it might not be a bad idea to just spend some Wii points on this. Also, you won't have to enter long, convoluted passwords.

-Kirby's Dreamland
When I first got my Game Boy, this was the game I played. What was Kirby to me back then? Little more than a walking face with the ability to vacuum things up and eat them. It sounded to me like little more than a concept to a game, and the game itself was easy enough to beat entirely in a matter of minutes. But the game had an undeniable charm that kept me coming back. The game was even home to the first boss that I thought was unbeatable (back then, I didn't know you could inhale the stars in the Dedede battle), so when I beat it, I felt complete. Then took on hard mode. Imagine my joy when I found out that there was a Kirby's Dreamland 2. Not only that, it improved on everything that made the first game great, giving us more levels, making them bigger, it introduced Kirby's copy ability which made him a million times cooler, and gave him some cute friends which gave us more ways to use the copy ability. The game even had more than one ending, and introduced us to Dark Matter, which in my opinion is one of the coolest bad guys in gaming. A little Dark Matter will always make someone a jerk.

I'll take these classics over newer games any day. Because it's gameplay that makes a game, not cinematic cutscenes, graphics, product placement, and fishing mini-games. These are the games that shaped the gaming world into what it is today, and if you play them, you will know why.
