Just an amped version of "Most Notable Pokemon Music" in the Pokemon World forum, just tell us about your favorite music from any Nintendo game, including Pokemon if you wanted to (not what this thread is about though). Let it be a Zelda tune, or a Resident Evil theme song, just let us know about it. You may also describe it, or tell us why you like it. Plus, don't forget to tell us what game it's from.

I'll start. My favorite Nintendo songs are the Song of Time, and Saria's Song from LoZ: Ocarina of Time. See, that simple.

EDIT: I mean the Ocarina playing of the Song of Time.
 
why are you mentioning resident evil here capcom makes that.

and sky tower is the best song of all time, no exceptions. unless the proposed exception is don't stop me now by queen.
 
The Dark World theme, from A Link to the Past. Or maybe Stickerbush Symphony, from DKC2 and its SSBB remix. The song that plays in Dr Wily's Stage pt 1 in Megaman 2 is pretty cool too. Come to think of it, the Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country opening is one of my favourites.
 
The main theme from Fire Emblem is pretty iconic, I feel. It's pretty epic. Another candidate would probably be Pokemon Center, or even RBY vs Leader (or the victory tune thereof).

Yet for me personally, the most iconic would be the main theme from Golden Sun: The Lost Age.
 
For me it's really any music from the SNES Mega Man X games (Storm Eagle and Gravity Beetle stages, definitely!), A Link to the Past (Dark World theme), and Ocarina of Time (nearly the whole soundtrack, though I'm partial to the Bolero of Fire), with honorable mentions to the Donkey Kong Country series and Pokémon series. For me, those are the quintessential video game scores.

Might come up with some later Idk. These are off the top of my head. Some of these tunes have just never left my head, they're that catchy and good.

Zelda's Lullaby was the song of my childhood. It just stands out so much to me. It's only tied with Lavender Town Theme, which is equally awesome.
 
Even though I've never looked into that much, Fire Emblem really has some nice stuff. And unless I missed it, I'm shocked that Kirby hasn't got a mention. A lot of those upbeat melodies were some of my favorites, and I just feel a wave of nostalgia when I listen to a lot of the themes from Silver/Gold/Crystal. Perhaps not the best, but still very memorable for me.

I forgot about both Fire Emblem and Kirby.

Gourmet Race and Together we Ride On are Amazing Songs. Also, Squeak Squad SSBB remix, Zero2 theme, and Meta Knight's Revenge.
 
I totally forgot King Dedede's theme and now I am extremely shameful because of that. What an insanely catchy tune.

City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and the wild Pokemon battle music from Pokemon Ruby I hold dear to my heart because they were my favorite childhood games. Plus you know a song has to be good when you still hear it even though your game boy sp is on mute or turned off!
