Pokemon Most Overrated Pokemon

Lucario.

He's such a wannabe-lengendary.
He even got his own spot on Brawl.

I totally agree.
Lucario isn't all that good.
But I got one anyway in Platinum, I love Steel-types.

Charizard. 'nuff said
Well actually;
In the TCG the cards are better than average and break a few caps
In the anime, BROKEN as a smashed vase.
VG, well, not much here.

Blissey, sure its got about a billion sp def and hp, but that all its got going for it, it defence is so bad that i dont really see how it can actually stall unless someone is dumb enough to fill a team with special sweepers.

The only useful thing it can do is counter, which ends up killing itself too (essentially)

do you know how to pokemon

Gotta be Charizard.

People make a ruckus about those terrible Ember/Fire Spin/Flamethrower/Fire Blast movesets from the first games. It's never Blastoise's version with Water Gun/Bubblebeam/Hydro Pump/Surf. Nope, it's always Charizard.

Charizard cards have a high value, due to the fact that they're Charizard cards.

Charizard is one of the most loved Pokemon of all time, probably due the sheer awesomeness that supposedly radiates out of it. When we played Pokemon back in Kindergarten, the kids would make trades like "My Charizard for your Mewtwo" or "My Charizard for your Mew".

And the sad thing is, Charizard's never been good since it first came out. :<

Blissey takes physical attacks surprisingly well thanks to its massive HP. If Blissey was as poor as you believe, you'd have a difficult time explaining why it has been a staple in the metagame since it was released in Gold and Silver. It offers a wide range of support, healing, and the simple fact that most special attackers cannot break through it make it more then playable.

Ninjask is one of the best choices, imo, for overrated.

Electivire

Proof: OU in gen 4

Look at it now: RU and the butt of many jokes. The only thing new is that it's not soaking up a spot in OU now. Umbreon and Ninjask are also guilty of this crime. Oh, and Smeargle.

Successor of Electivire's crown: Scrafty

Thank god that thing is where it belongs now.

Electivire for sure. I don't actually think of it as a bad mon, but it's amazing how it lasted in OU for so long.

4th gen Snorlax was always pretty awkward imo

Disagree - Electivire wishes it has Scrafty's STABs, and abilities, and unlike Electivire has no problem ripping holes in teams without the use of no-stab EB moves.

Arceus cause he can transform into all different types and has the move Judgement that changes type based on which plate you give him.

Mr. Mime.
Seriously.
Screw Mr. Mime.

I mean, whats up with learning all those moves that often? It's the dump of the game freak developers.
"Ooh, we have so many more moves."
"Aaahhh, stick them on that thing!"

And don't get me started on Mr. Mime EX. 80hp? No attacking moves? Pfft. What a joke. Also wow what a Poke-BODY. Negate all damage that's an odd number. Wow. I'm so scared. Magnezone Lv. X. 80 damage. Wapow. Gone

Yeah I gotta agree and say its Charizard. All those gen 1 people keep saying, "Oh Charizard the most awesome Pokemon ever your new ones suck." And I agree many new Pokemon especially Unova ones suck. But Charizard isn't as great as some people would like to believe; its nostalgia and that's all.

And I can't believe nobody has picked up on the fact that Slaking went from OU in RSE to NU in DPPt - and it was practically unusable in DPPt NU too.

yes, i just happen to see that pokemon need more than a couple good stats
You give 252 Def EVs and a Bold nature to Blissey, and it's going to survive a lot of hits. On average, a non-Fighting physical move might do...about 30% HP damage to Blissey?

I run Blissey from time to time. Even against physical attackers, it's amazing.

Umbreon, and by extent the Eeveelutions

I blame the furries of the universe and everyone under 12 for this.
I have yet to find anyone under 12 that's a major Eeveelutions fan. Heck, even if you look among the English furry community, Eeveelution popularity took a beating since Gen IV (Luxray, Lucario, Floatzel, Serperior [=.=], Scoliopede [honestly, this one's just a cult hit], Zoroark, Mienshao, and some more easily stealing the spotlight). Pixiv's Eeveelution to other Pokemon ratio only decreased a bit, but when you have the most popular Eeveelution picture ranking only #49 in views out of every Pokemon picture available on Pixiv, you can tell they're not the most popular thing around.

Overrated? I can agree to an extent, given the number of hardcore artists that have the majority (or even most) of their works that of Eeveelutions, but they are certainly not the most overrated.

Besides the standard Charizard, Pikachu, Arceus choice, I'll just be frank and say nothing's more overrated that Legendaries in general. Awe-inspiring indeed, but if you look past their size and power, a large number of them don't have anything that stands out in design to me. Out of them, I particularly believe that Palkia and Dialga get way too much attention in comparison to their artistic design.

Also, Bulbasaur is actually cool. Venusaur can 100% crit with Razor Leaf.
I agree. Just look at my username.

As for the most overrated Pokemon, I think it is Pikachu.

I have to agree with it being Arceus. Anyone who started playing with the Gen 4 games think Arceus is the best because he is the "God Pokemon". But any smart person can take Arceus out with a Lv. 1 Rattata if they use the right moves and items.
