Movies That Make You Angry

Which Movies do you hate a lot, but no-one else seems to mind?
For me, it has to be Inspector Gadget 2.

First of all, what happened to the love interest in the first movie? Why was she replaced by a robot?
Second, the "love interest" in this movie in completely pointless, as it's like saying you fell in love with a microwave for its personality. The Gadget female cop thing may LOOK attractive to Gadget, but it's just a machine!
Third, the Dog could talk at the end of the first Movie, so why was that one scientist trying to show off a device that could translate Dog barks, if one already exists?
Fourth, why was everything at the end of the first Movie retconed? There's no reason why Gadget had to be a single parent again. They could of just made the female Gadget a rival instead.

Moved to Misc. because it's not an ongoing, long-term topic and doesn't fit anywhere else.

For me, a movie that drove me insane was The Counsellor. Seriously, the whole thing started with something so promising, the idea was really good, and in the end the movie barely has a plot. A total letdown.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Both Percy Jackson movies. They didn't stick to the plotline at all, messed up a lot of character details, and all around strayed from the books way to much.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Any of the Twlight movies. Reason: because they exist. They ruined vampires! And the acting (for the main characters) and writing was horrible.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Before I say my case:
Why does a movie have to follow the book? Wouldn't it be a little bit boring to just watch a visual of what you read? I find it refreshing that they didn't just copy and paste a movie form a book (I've the series about... 6 times now though, so yeah. Love me some Percy Jackson)

Anyway,

Any horror movie ever, except for the satirical ones. Literally just because of the characters.
'A SOUND IN THE ATTIC?! LETS GO EXPLORE THE SOUND THE OF A BABY CRYING!'

Twilight, but that's already been explained.

Gravity, for being a movie that would have been awesome, and full of tension in 3D... But boring and lifeless without it. So, yeah.

ALMOST all the 're telling' movies and shows of the fairytales. E.g. Show white and the huntsmen (Christen Stewart), Once Upon A Time.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Anything that Hugh Grant is in. If I really have to give a reason, then it's because he plays the same damn character in every movie he's in. And I find him annoying.

Twilight movies because they're so laughably, cringingly bad.

Nonsensical documentaries. I'm looking at you, Super Size Me.

As stated before, retellings of stories that have already been rehashed one million times before on the big screen. Let's see some originality.

Also, stupid teeny bopper horror movies.

ERAGON

It was a really bad movie, and the worst part his that it's based on one of the best books of my childhood. This is why it makes me very angry.

If they are gonna make a movie and name it after the book, it shound follow the book. For instance, if you had read the Hunger Games and then saw the movie and it was a teenager that murders 23 other teenagers for no reason without an arena or anything, you wouldn't say "Oh, 23 teenagers died because someone else murdered them. Glad they didn't stick to the plotline at all, but the end result is the same". And with the recent Percy Jackson movie, they just kissed every chance of the end result being the same goodbye. I don't have a problem with them straying from the books a bit, but when you make a whole different plotline, pretty much only keep the characters and name it after the book, it gets a bit extreme.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Any movie that uses its child-friendly concept to bring in the audience. I'm talking about those movies that don't even TRY, like The Smurfs, Yogi Bear, Shrek 3 and 4...

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Speaking of Shrek 3... I hated the scene where Donkey asked where kids came from, as it makes no sense, because he already HAD kids!

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Either Jack and Jill or Oogieloves, I've seen reviews of both movies and they're so stupid that make me angry that they exist X(

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Home and Alone for Christmas (3 Day Test)
This movie is so stupid! Why did the family have to camp out in the living room? They still had beds and the test was to stay in their house for 3 days, not go pretend they're going camping.
Also, he makes everyone drink Toilet Water, which is just stupid, as people who DO go camping at least bring bottled water with them. Also, their fecal matter will eventually just clog up the toilet.
The dad also says some BS about why the traps he gets ready for his sociopathic brother should be free because he pays a tiny amount of tax for military traps each year.
What's more, is they even fail to not use modern technology by accepting donations and inviting the media.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Any Adam Sandler movie: No, he's not funny, never will be. It saddens me that so many people enjoy his films

RE: Movies that make you very angry

Home Alone 3 & 4 because they ruined the series totally and had some of the worst acting and plot lines I have ever seen.

I never said I liked the movies, but I don't think they strayed too much from the plot. It still follows the basic guidelines, such as Percy being a demigod, Zeus' lightning bolt being stolen.

You have to remember that what you can do with imagination (a book) is different from what can be done with reality (a movie). Sure there's editing, but that only goes so far.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

The Twilight movies because, as said before,it ruined the vampire lore in a way never imagined and are soooo boring.

"Queen of the Damned" because not only it doesn't follow the book but also and mainly because Stuart Townsend's Lestat (it's so lame and sings horribly) has nothing to do with Tom Cruise's Lestat.

"Ratatouille" - I'm sick of movies that feature animals that do anything and beyond while at the same time promoting cities and countries and being full of clichés.

"The Princess and the Frog" - the movie had potencial, the VILLAIN had soo much potencial but the whole movie ends up as short and with that same theme of princes.

"Tangled" was not as bad as I hoped but it wasn't good either. Seeing a horse behave like a dog might be funny for a while but it soon gets boring and not watching the evil lady die is just so stupid, life has consequences and if children don't like it, don't watch it. I ended up not understanding if the lady died from the fall of if she just turned into dust along the fall. Stupid.

I don't know if you just haven't seen a lot of Disney movies, but ambiguous falling deaths happen so often that "Disney Villain Death" is the name of a TVTrope. It does apply to non-Disney works as well, but because it's so common in Disney, they get the title. :D

However, that very same page does also answer your question: "Tangled gently plays with this trope. While Mother Gothel did fall from the tower, she was already dead and turned to dust by the time she (or rather, her cloak) hit the ground. She suffered death by Rapid Aging rather than death by falling. Also, she didn't just cause her own fall, she was actually intentionally tripped by Pascal."

Well, beware the spoilers in this post for those of you who haven't seen the movies or read the books.

Changing a few minor details is one thing, but what they have done is way different. They have managed to raise the main bad guy three movies early, have him eat the person that defeats him, and then have Percy defeat Kronos with one swipe of a blade. There's slightly altering the plotline, then there's making a completely new one.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

The ending of Gladiator. Why did he have to die!?! I know he lost too much blood but I would've much preferred him to live and to hook up with the his mistress. So there could be another in the future.. but my hopes are ruined. Gladiator in my opinion is still one of the greatest movies of all time.

RE: Movies that make you very angry

It's been said before, but Twilight.
I've never been a fan of the series and as well as ruining vampires, it gives young girls the approach that acting weak is the way to get a boyfriend, and that they basically need a man to stay strong.
Not to mention it's badly written, and the acting isn't amazing.
