Ruling Mr.Mime VS Raikou EX and Espeon

If my opponent has a Mr.Mime on the bench, and I attack with Espeon "Shadow Ball" or Raikou EX "Volt Bolt" to one of his/her bench pokemon. Do Espeon and Raikou EX do any damage to the selected bench pokemon or Mr.Mime would block off the damages?

Because espeon and raikou EX attacks do damage and not placing of damage counters; mr mimes ability would block damage being done to benched Pokemon

The confusion came up from last night league.

The judge told us Mr.Mime would NOT block the damages from Raikou EX "Volt Bolt" and Espeon "Shadow Ball", because the wording on the card say "To one of your opponent's pokemon" not "To one of your opponent's benched pokemon".

For instance, Darkrai EX's Night Spear specifically says "Does 30 to one of your opponent's benched pokemon.

I guess I can see where the judge is coming from, but he is incorrect. The word "benched" might not be included in Raikou and Espeon's attacks, but they are still targeting benched pokemon, thus the bench damage is prevented. ftwpokedad is correct
