Ruling Muligan

Muligan? That's from magic the gathering right? If I recall right, there isn't any muligan here. You only shuffle your hand into your deck if you don't have any basic pokemon, and your opponent can draw a card.

yes that, sorry I used to play magic and still use some of the same terms

There should be no limit and yes there are Muligans in the Mon(Poke) TCG. If you have no Basics in your hand you shuffle and redraw

There is a limit. When you deck your opponent out.

Ohhh.. Mully Mewtwo decks.. The only decks that worked before the game even started..

So it means what ever happens... there is a match that will be fought? is that it? since mulligan (MTG term) doesn't exist, am I right or am i getting confused by my self here...

If you dont get a basic in your hand, you re-shuffle your hand and your opponent MAY draw an extra card. Once you get your basic the game starts. Your opponent doesn't HAVE to draw a card, so muligan stops when you draw a basic.

In the old rules, they had to draw 2, it wasn't an option. That was the best part.

Of course, Mully Mew is why they changed the ruling.

So mulligan really doesn't exist... and you and your opponent can wait until he/she gets a pokemon.

Example:
he doesn't get a basic pokemon 10 times. But he gets a basic at the 11th attempt the you start the game since there is no mulligan.

(Sorry for the exaggerated example.)

I think consistant mulliganing can be petitioned for a judge, though, since there is kind of a time limit. I'd draw the cards just because of less time and the advantage I'd have on my opponent.
