Well If you ask me it isn't what it used to be, now we got stupid Auto Tunes which is found from most of the recent new artists these days which is a shame. You'll mostly find good music on satellite instead of basic radio cause of profit these days.
Lack of good material and songs are mostly due to the result of artists not making as much money in the music industry where people are downloading their songs for free via mp3 or buying them on iTunes. I really do miss those days when Music used to be good and mainstream but those days are long gone I'm afraid. All they do is show crud on vh1 and MTV these days...
The kind of Music I love? 90's Alternative/New Wave, Pop (70's,80's,90's), Rock & Roll, R&B/Soul, Dance, Techno, Hip-Hop (90's), Country (somewhat), Rap (Non Gangsta), Jazz, and Reggae.
Several of my favorite artists are Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, Al Green, Fleetwood Mac, Weird Al Yankovic, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Collective Soul, The Sugarhill Gang, Bruce Springsteen,
Bob Seger, David Bowie, The Who, The Doobie Brothers, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Billy Idol, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Enigma, Guns 'N' Roses, Tears for Fears, and Enya.
There's also loads of One-Hit Wonders I like as well, including T. Rex - Bang a Gong (Get it On),
Big Country - Big Country, Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen, Al B. Sure - Nite and Day, Edie Breckell & The New Bohemians - What I Am, Mr. Mister - Kyrie, Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart,
