AN: I got this inspiration to write this fan fiction by listening/watching one of my favorite song's music video by my favorite artist.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olmYOV3UMfk&feature=channel_page

Also note that this fan fiction, that I'll take songs from different artist and put them on here with their English translation, if I can find one. Credit goes to Younha and the other Asian artists! I know most people won't read this, well the thoughts I am getting, but hey I might be proved wrong.

Chapter 1: The Great Audition

Moving her head up and down, in tune with the music she was listening, she hummed lightly. This was the tenth audition she was attending. The others she attended just said she wasn’t “pretty enough”, but that did not extinguish her determination. No that didn’t, instead that just made her more determined than ever before.

Tapping her feet on the floor in the beat of the music she waited. One by one people gone and came back to be crying or be laughing. She didn’t notice this; she was to focus on the music she was listening to.

“Younha, Younha!” The voice called. The woman didn’t hear, still listening to her MP3 player. The voice called a few more times, but she didn’t move. It was until someone tapped her that she went up following the voice.

She stood on stage bowing to the representatives of the company she was auditioning for. The stage was pretty empty as there were only a few people in the audience spot. They were obviously bored and tired since they were scratching their heads or yawning. Looking in front of her she spotted a piano and walked forward. Running her small fingers along the keys before sitting down on the piano bench before playing a tune, that she wrote hers self.

“Pretending to be living an ordinary and simple life is boring and tedious
Got to get my act together No one can stop me, this is who I am, This will be the last time
I will ever keep this secret from my parents Time 2 Rock! Ready Go! The sunshine is so warm
Today my condition is great All my nervous feelings Let it GO! Today everyone’s going to see
What I can do to show that is the one and only me Even when everyone pretends to not to
notice me I’m not scared I will never loose faith This is a dream that I must chase Don’t
underestimate me Tomorrow I’ll be a shining star, just you wait and see Time 2 Rock!”

At this point the representatives seemed to be entertained hearing her voice. Some were smiling broadly and others were clapping softly, but she didn’t let this get into her performance, it would just distract her to notice that they were entertained, and loose the feelings in the song. Younha stood up from the piano bench and continued.

“Ready Go! I always get like this whenever I set foot on the spotlight My two little hands Let it
GO! Piano, with my melodies gong through many and my dreams will then shine!”

After this she started to press the keys on the piano faster and harder closing her eyes and letting herself feel into the music. The representatives were now standing up cheering like crazy clapping there hands wildly, obviously entertained. The people in the back were smiling broadly and thumping there heads to the tone of the music, especially a certain group of males who were supposed to go after her. Youha’s tail coat soon fell to meet the legs of the piano bench. At this point she was sitting back down.

“Bye Bye Bye Cry.. Good Bye Bye Bye Day.. Go ahead and shout it aloud to the world!
Time 2 Rock! Ready GO! I always get like this whenever I set foot on the spotlight My two
little hands Let it GO! Piano, with my melodies going through many and my dreams will then
Shine! My two little hands Let it GO! Piano, with my dreams going through many and my
dreams will then shine!”

Stopping her fingers on the last key on the piano, letting her voice echo through the stage, the representatives smiled and told her she did a great job and called for the next person. She walked back stage to find a group of men smiling at her telling she did a good job. Younha just took her left arm and rubbed the back of her head smiling back at them. Then one of the males in the group left.

Chapter 2: The New Day

“Younha!” A voice shouted. Younha had just came home, unfortunately enough her mother had noticed her leaving. Her mother discouraged her from her dream and went as far enough as to lock her in her own room to miss the audition.

“Younha, where have you been!?” Her mother shouted finally finding her, “I was worried sick about you! And, what’s with those clothes? Don’t tell me you went to the audition, wait how did you even get out of your room?!”

Younha didn’t answer, knowing fully well that her mother already knew the answer. Walking away out her room she flew downstairs, her feet making sounds as she ran down the flight of stairs. Her mother went after her.

“I told you not to go to the audition!” Her mother scolded her, “How many times do I have to tell you, that a dream in music will get you no where!”

“But, mom it’s my dream!” Younha told her, “You taught me to chase my dreams and now you’re telling me to not!”

“Well I don’t think that dream will do you any good!” The mother shouted.

“Mom, it’s my dream not yours! You can’t decide what my dreams are; you can’t make me decide that I don’t want to chase my dreams!”
Younha responded before getting a snack from the cabinet and running upstairs into her room.

Younha stayed in her room all day, only coming out when it was time to eat lunch or dinner. Her father and sister noticed the silent tension between her and her mother and tried to ease it, but to no avail. Younha was silent the whole time, only speaking to show some manners.

“It hasn’t been this silent since they day where grandpa died,” Younha’s sister whispered.

“I know, I wonder what happened?” The father whispered. Younha got up from her seat finished with her dinner and put the plate in the sink. She stomped up stairs and slammed the door to her room.

Later that night her cell phone rang. Younha picked it up, since it was vibrating along her desk and answered.

“Hello, this is Younha,”

“Oh Younha, we are here to tell you that you passed the audition, meet the owner at the Epic Records head quarters tomorrow morning, 9:00 sharp”

“You, mean that I made it!?” Younha nearly shouted excited. Her hard work paid off after all.

“Yes, yes you did, Epic Records will be glad to be working with you,” The voice stated, “Well its getting late you better get some sleep,”

The voice hung up. Younha felt courage and excitement boiling inside her, her tenth audition and she made it, she made it. Younha then finished up her weekend homework and jumped into bed turning out the light, tomorrow was going to be her new day.

--

Younha woke up bright and early the next day. Picking out what she thought looked nice. Another tail coat, but it wasn’t plain this time. On the back were knitted beads that shaped into a butterfly. Wearing a white under shirt, jeans, and some other accessories she ran down stairs. Luckily no one was awake by this time, so she didn’t have to worry about her family asking her questions, which annoyed her.

Fixing up a quick breakfast she put on her white boots and walked out the door. Finding the spare keys under the bonsai tree her mother grew and trimmed, and locked the door. She then headed for Epic Records.

Walking through the revolving door she met a lady at the front desk with a familiar male group. She walked up behind them; the lady seemed to have noticed her and motioned her beside her desk. Speaking to the intercom she motioned to the elevator and wrote down the floor number and room number on a card and handed to Younha and then the male group.

In the elevator she pressed in the 7th floor and listened to her MP3 player. Looking back at the male group who entered with her she finally got a good look at them. She recognized them as the group of males at the audition only vaguely remembering there conversation.
“Ah you passed to,” One of the males asked. The man had striking black hair as his eyes matched, he wore a hat, black vest, white under shirt, and ripped dark jeans.

“Yeah,” Younha replied after taking off one of her earphones.

“Good for you, you deserve it,” The man said. Younha put the
earphone back in her ear, listening to music once again. Drowning herself in it until the elevator door slid open. Looking at the card while walking she navigated herself through the floor. Stopping at the door that said 7D she knocked on the door, but to her surprise a hand also knocked at the door. She looked at the direction of the male group.

“Yours says 7D to?” One of the males asked. Younha nodded in response. The door opened to find a man answering. He was well pretty, huge. He had striking blond hair and shimmering blue eyes, his suit was a pure blue.

“Ahh you must be Younha and the group of males that passed the audition, right this way.” The man motioned into his office. Younha followed his motion and sat down in a chair. The males did the same. The office was rather organized, with papers stacked on one side of the desk and everything seemed findable around the office.

The man sat at the desk getting a piece of parchment from his desk drawer and slid it forward so that they could read. Quickly scanning at the bottom of the page, Younha noticed four lines for signatures.
“Why are there four lines for signatures?” Younha asked. The man stared at her then back to the group of males who seemed to have the same questioning look on her face as Younha did.

“You see, if you haven’t noticed, you four are going to be in a band,” The man explained. Younha went wide eyed, she had been planning to be a solo artist, well so much for that dream. The group
of males didn’t seem to be fazed; no scratch that, they looked kind
of fazed.

“I have to be in a band with people I barely even know?” Younha asked. The man nodded in reply and smiled.

“And I thought I was going to be put in a different band, with some music experience, never thought I would be in a new fresh out band,” One of the males spoke.

“Why should you be surprised by this? Haven’t you been friends for years?” Younha asked the males shook their heads.

“We became friends three days ago!” One of the males exclaimed happily doing an anime style high five. Younha did noting, but stare and twitch.

“OK I guess and introduction is in order, why don’t you start first Younha,” The man stated and smiled.

Younha heaved a sigh before starting, “My name is Go Younha, written as Yunna, I moved here from Korea about a little more than a year ago, two years next month Feburary 3rd, I like music obviously, eating spicy foods, snowboarding, and skiing. I have been in ten auditions including this one.”

The male, who Younha talked to in the elevator, raised his hand, “Why ten? I bet you had the skills to pass the first audition you tried.”

“They said I wasn’t pretty enough,” Younha replied shrugging it off.

“I think you’re pretty,” One of the males said softly. Younha ignored it.

The male Younha talked to in the elevator with spoke up, “I am Yamamoto Kiyo, I’m 16 years of age, I like to snow board and hang out with friends, but I guess that’s the same thing oh and music to.”

‘Not much I can get out of that,’
Younha mentally thought, another male raised their voice.

“I am Takeshi Haru, I am 15 years of age, turning 16 in a few months, I like noodles, friends, and to play tennis, music is also important part of my life, and that is about it I guess.” Younha stared at the man, who spoke up. He had black hair and dyed a good portion of it red; he wore a black t-shirt, and jeans, with a chain coming from his pocket. In a strange way Younha was starting to think he was attractive.

“I’m Takashi Akira, I am 15 years old, I like sushi, hanging out with friends, and strategy games, well outside of music. I also do Kendo, but not much anymore. I like my guitar, sometimes playing it in the park.” The last male spoke. Younha noticed him as the male who called her attractive. He wore a white shirt with a black tie, and black pants, and his skin seemed to be really pale.

The blond man smiled sliding other pieces of parchment, “After you sign this contract, you have to send these home to your parents so they can sign them. You must return them to me Next Saturday. Also you’re meeting your manager tomorrow so be here at 12:00.”

Younha took a pen and signed the contract with her signature, before sitting up to leave the Epic Records building, with the parchment in hand.

Chapter 3: A Manager

For the rest of the day, Younha had ignored her mom, while she did the same. Her father and sister tried everything to get them to talk to each other, but that didn’t happen. It did nothing at all. Younha sighed, turning off the lamp on her desk and buried herself in the blankets of her bed.

The next morning it was silent as ever when Younha ate her breakfast. Her mother and her were still ignoring each other, making tension rise every few seconds, as usual her father and sister still tried to get them to talk to each other, but as usual that didn’t happen later. All they did this time was make tension rise between them.

Younha stood up from her chair and put the dishes and bowls in the sink, Younha walked out of the kitchen and ran up into her room, slamming when she got inside making the whole house shake. Finding comfort in her room, Younha put a CD in her MP3 player and listened to music, frowning herself into it, staring at the clock until the two hands hit 11:30.

Younha then ran down the flight of stairs, well after making sure she securely locked the door to her room. Finding the keys in the bonsai tree once again she locked the door to the house and was on her way to Epic Records.

When she was at the entrance to the Epic Records headquarters she found Kiyo, Haru, and Akira already standing there. Younha smiled at them giving them a warm greeting standing along side them, well stealing glances at Haru every five minutes or so.

"Why does he have to be so attractive, wait what am I saying?!" Younha thought taking one last look at him. Unknown to her Haru was looking at her every three or four minutes or so. He couldn’t seem to get her out of his head.

"Akira was right, she is attractive, wait what am I saying?! This is not like me!"
Haru thought abruptly.

“Ah, I see you all made it,” A voice stated calmly. Younha and the group of males turned to see a man with light brown hair, being tied back into a pony tail, his eyes were sky blue, but the glint in them were covered by his glasses, and he wore a grey suit.

“Well, I am your manager, but we’ll discuss this when we have some lunch,” The man stated walking along the side walk, “Aren’t you coming? You want some lunch don’t you?”

“Another sushi, make sure its extra spicy!” Younha cried. It so happened that the new band’s so called manager had took them to one of the best restaurants in town. So far she was enjoying herself, well by enjoying herself, she was stuffing her face with the spiciest food they had in the restaurant.

So far, she had three plates of sushi, getting her forth, two pans of spicy chicken melted in chilly, and some spicy hot soup. She didn’t even stop for a drink. While they were discussing the contract and some other things, Younha was still eating, which made everyone, except Haru twitched.

“We have been conversing for an hour and none of use know your name, if you would please be so kind and tell us,” Younha stated placing a piece of sushi in her mouth.

“Ah, where are my manners, just call me Yuki is good enough,” The manager smiled. The group smiled, well except for Younha who was still eating.

“She wasn’t kidding when she said she liked spicy food,” Both Akira and Kiyo both thought.

“The boss thought her liking spicy food was a joking matter. Wait until I tell him that it was serious. I really want to rub it in his face,”
Yuki thought.

Haru seemed to be the only one not disturbed by Younha’s eating habits, staring at his plate of sushi and eating it minutes later. Youha had finished her last plate of sushi before sipping on traditional tea, moving it in a circular motion as she drank quietly from the cup.

“Well since we have been talking about the band for the past hour or so,” Younha stated, putting the traditional cup on the table, “how about the name of the band, all we have been talking about is our debut, the debut album, and other things like that. We haven’t even talked about a band name.”

“Ah, that slipped my mind, thank you, Younha!” Yuki smiled a little grateful she said it with out a mouth full of food, “Any of you got a name for the band?”

The males just shook their heads before eating once again, or chatting amongst themselves. Younha nervously raised her hand.
“Ah Younha, it seems like you have a name,” Yuki stated, “enlighten me, what name do you have in mind.”

“If you have a pen, I don’t mind writing it down,” Younha said in a low whisper. Yuki sighed handing her a pen and paper out of no where, sliding it across the table. Younha wrote something down in pen and slid the paper across the table. Yuki grabbed it and scanned it; a smile played on his lips.

“MidnightStarZZ, I like it, nice ring to it,” Yuki mused passing the paper to Haru who nodded his head in agreement. Then he passed it to Akira, then he Kiyo, who also agreed.

“I really like the name,” Akira complimented, “I would have never thought of that name,”

“So the band’s name is now officially MidnightStarZZ!” Haru cheered holding his cup of tea in the air.
