Writing My attempt at basic poetry

Hey, everyone! as you probably know, I have never even written a fic before, so any feedback is great. I will be starting with a haiku, and may even add something new each week, depending on what you guys think of it(and on what I think of it). So, here it is:

The Ocean

Waves rolling on ocean
Surf crashing loudly on land
Yet all is peaceful

I think I should add that, not only is this my first time posting a fic here, This is also my first attempt at poetry whatsoever. So, again, tell me what you think.

For a first, it's pretty good!

The only thing I'd ask is just try to keep smaller poems like haiku or anything under ten line to this thread, since it's usually a hastle to keep track of a bunch of threads for individual poems (especially if they're posted in a short amount of time). Otherwise, feel free to post whatever you want!

It's not a requirement, but most people do it anyways, and so I added it as a note in the WC's rules a while back.
