My first started deck

I'm sorry if this post ended up in the wrong forum, I did try to figure out where to put my question!

Tomorrow I am going to Pokemon Center to buy my first starter deck ever and I'm very excited. My question is though how I should think when I choose my starter deck, should I start thinking about how I want to build my deck and pick based on that or maybe the started packs arent that advanced? How should I think?
 
You shouldn't start a deck based on a starter deck, just use the cards in them. I personally think Drill Point has some cards you should have.
 
You should get a starter deck, but then put more useful cards in it that you might need. If you slowly build up your future deck then you'll be ready. I think starter deck is a nice beginning but you should take out cards that you don't need and add cards that can be useful in your deck.
 
Definately, get a deck from a newer set, so you know they're gonna' be legit for a good while.
 
The one with Flygon is the one I started with, then put Flygon Lv.X in that and built off of it based of the meta at my leagues.
