During setup, when I draw my 7 cards to see if I have a basic and I have a Mysterious Fossil in my hand, would I have to put it down, or could I choose not to?

A. Yes. You can play "just" the Fossil Trainer cards, if you have fossils and a basic. If your opening hand has Fossil Trainers only, but no Basic Pokémon cards, you must choose a Fossil Trainer to place active. (Oct 16, 2003 PUI Rules Team; Jul 27, 2006 PUI Rules Team)

I was searching for it in Compendium earlier and could not find it. I must of by passed it.
Thanks for clearing that up though.
