Am I correct to say that if I attach DRE to Magmortar Lv. X who already has 2 fire energies to attack, and I use it's Flame Bluster attack and discard the DRE. It would NOT reduce 10 because DRE is no longer on him. Seeing as you follow the rule step by step. Discard, then do the damage.

Right?

No, You do the damage and then discard. It would only do ninety damage. Also You cannot discard only one DRE for Flame Bluster as there was a ruling that you must discard two fire energy card this means that if you discarded a DRE you would still have to discard another fire.

Oh so they changed it up to cards now? Cuz I read it before posting and it said fire energy. I didn't know they changed the errata. Ok then. Thanks

^No.

Charizard's attack tells him to discard 2 "energy cards," so a DRE and Scramble count as only 1 energy each.

Gardevoir's attack talks about "energy," so a DRE counts as 2 energies.

George, Magmortar was errata'd to say energy cards. So you have to discard 2 physical cards that provide fire energy for Flame Buster to work properly. If you have a DRE attached to it, then the attack does -90 because the DRE was there at the beginning of the attack. Even if you discarded it, the effect remains until the end of turn in that situation.
