Hello pokebeach! I'm recently just got into ptcg competitive and I'm attending a tournament at my local card shop. I'm thinking about building a gardivoir gx deck that is updated for burning shadows. So the list for my deck is as follows:
****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ******

1 Ribombee BUS 96

1 Gallade BKT 84
3 Tapu Lele-GX GRI 60

1 Octillery BKT 33
Trainer Cards - 30

****** Deck List Generated by the Pokémon TCG Online www.pokemon.com/TCGO ******
***Explainations**
*1 Cultifly And 1 Ribombee* - I added a 1-1 Cutiefly, Ribombee because of its ability (Honey Gather) to get 2 guaranteed energy from your deck. This will help get consistency for energies and ultimately powering up your bench or active every turn.
*1 Diancie* - I added Diancie mainly for its first move, Sparking Wish, which allows me to evolve my benched Pokemon. I chose this over Alolan Vulpix because of its consistency. For example Alolan vulpix's beacon is pretty good but it can get "N"ed pretty easily. While Diancie can instantly evolve a benched Pokemon with the cost of one energy
*4 Ralts 3 Kirlia 3 Gardevoir-GX 1 Gallade* - I think it's self-explanatory. But Gallade, however, i think I may have to explain. Gallade from the set BKT is a good alternative attacker and also has a good ability which allows you to look at the top 5 cards of your deck and placing it back in any order.
*3 Tapu Lele-GX* - I use it for it ability and its great attack as an alternative attacker, if I can't, get my gardivoir gx out in time. Its ability also allows me to get to my goal faster by letting me search for a supporter card from my deck, which I would pair it up with either Skyla, Bridgette, or Acerola.
*1 Remoraid 1 Octillery * - 1-1 remoraid octillery line would be great for draw power and consistacy. For example using its ability along side Gallade will make you get the cards you need A LOT faster.
*4 Ultra Ball * - I think we all know why
*3 Guzma* - 3 Guzma because idk i feel like 4 is a bit to much
*1 Super Rod* - I use it because it makes retrieving energies and Pokemon from the discard pile a whole lot easier.
*(from this point on i kinda got lazy and just went to the point)*
*2 Choice Band GRI 121* - For more damage output.
*3 Rare Candy * - Making Evolution a lot easier
*3 N * - Disruption and getting a new hand
*1 Brigette* - good for getting the basic Pokemon I need out into the bench
*1 Acerola* - good not allowing your opponent to kill your active
*2 Float Stone BKT 137* - for the octillary and rebombee
*4 Professor Sycamore* - self explanatory
*2 Fairy Garden FAC 100* - great for fairy type decks
1 Skyla - really good for getting out the trainer cards you need
*1 Fisherman BKT 136* - good recycleing card for energy
Any Improvements would help!!

Your list seems pretty solid to me, but there are some changes I would make.

-1 Cutiefly
-1 Ribombee(While this may seem appealing you need to focus more on Gardevoir GX. You should be able to find enough energy anyways.)
-2 Float Stone(I think Fairy Garden works better with this deck.)
-1 Skyla(You can grab stuff like Rare Candies with this, but with Diancie I personally think there are more useful cards.)
-1 Fisherman(I don't think this is required especially since Gardevoir's GX attack puts stuff back in the deck.)

+1 Diancie(This makes the deck so much more consistent, and I always use it.)
+1 Choice Band(3 Choice Bands help you find it when you need to, and you have more in case some get Field Blowered off.)
+1 N(Even a deck with Octillery should run 4 N.)
+1 Fairy Garden(You need 3 since I suggested dropping the Choice Bands.)

These are the changes I would definitely say you make to your deck. There are couple other changes I would make, but those aren't super necessary. As you can see I left 2 spaces open and you can do whatever you want with those. I wouldn't suggest putting back in cards I dropped. If you need more ideas my decklist is in the spoiler. That deck list has given me a lot of success so far. I hope this helps.

Do you find that you have enough energy with only running 9 Fairy? Nice list, thanks for sharing!

Cutiefly/Ribombee is not nearly as consistent nor readily available as just running 1 or 2 Professor's Letter, especially in a deck list that runs Skyla, if you choose to keep her.

Gardevoir GX is already kind of inconsistent. You want to minimize inconsistency as much as possible in a Stage 2 deck if you want to hope to win in a Swiss Round set up. Remember that it's not just about winning a game - you have to be consistent enough to win going first AND second.

Pokemon x22

Gardevoir GX x4
Gallade x1
Kirlia x3
Ralts x4
Tapu Lele GX x3
Diancie x3
Octillery x2
Remoraid x2

Sycamore x3
N x4
Guzma x3
Brigette x1
Acerola x1

Item x13

Rare Candy x3
Ultra Ball x4
Float Stone x3
Field Blower x2
Professor's Letter x1

Energy x13

DCE x4
Fairy Energy x9

This is the most consistent list I've made so far. I don't really see the need for tech in this kind of deck. At least not until Steel starts taking over the world (maybe).

I run 9 Fairy Energy in my Gardevoir list and runs great. I'd actually suggest you change it back to 9.

Cut out Cutiefly and Ribombee for +2 Diance. It's really important to start with Diance for a smoother start.

If you already have float stone, why run Fairy Garden? I'd take out float stone and add 1 Fairy Garden and maybe another N.

Fisherman isn't needed and I think you should replace it with Professor's Letter. It's really good in Gardevoir especially with Skyla.

I'd also try to incorporate another Field Blower. 2 is kind of the standard now.

Hope this helps.

I agree with a lot of the points RealEnderTV makes. I wouldn't necessarily run 3 Diancie, but 2 in my opinion is a must. I would also drop the Alolan Vulpix because I think Diancie is more consistent. Dropping Float Stones for Fairy Gardens is also a smart move. I also don't think Fisherman is needed because you can normally find energy when you need it. 2 Field Blower is a requirement in most competitive decks. I hope this helps.
