Need some help

Hi, I'm new to the TCG and I need a little help getting started with it. I've been playing leagues for a while, but the decks I make never work, probably because I try to use other decks that I don't have all the cards to use. You see, I don't get cards often, even though I love them so much, and it's hard to build decks. So, what should I do?
 
Since you are going to the league, you should try to ask the league leader what the good cards are in today's format (Claydol, Uxie, Bebe's Search, Roseanne's Research, etc.) Once you know the cards, try to trade for them at the league. It'll be easier to trade for the needed cards rather than hope to get them through some packs. Once you have the cards, you can ask your league leader for some help, or post your deck on Pokebeach so other members can help you.

I face same problem and i have been suffering with this problem for last month.
I could not contact the league leader. I tried my best but i can't. Help please.
