Hey all, just wanted to share with fellow collectors out there one card I recently acquired.

This is the newest of the Birthday Pikachu cards to be released in Japan which has the new Pokemon depicted.
 
Nice card, however it should've gone into this thread, for me to add it to the list.

After secondary thoughts on the subject, we've decided to open this thread to further discuss the showcase Aphotic has provided.
 
Gorgeous card! I've got the one from 2008/9 and I loved the art on that, but this one I think takes the cake (if you pardon the pun) for me in terms of cuteness.

How much did you snag that for, if you don't mind my asking :) I'm looking to snag one for my own collection at some stage but I haven't really shopped around yet.
 
To be honest I'm not sure of its price or value. My girlfriend and I have a friend in Japan who was able to get a couple for us. It's definitely a prized, and welcome, addition to my girlfriends Pikachu collection. Sorry I couldn't help you with its pricing =|
 
can anyone name that pink flesh looking pokemon? I would like to look up the significance of it aside from the 3 gen5 starters. thanks
 
@guiltysky: The pink pokemon in the picture above is Tabunne.
On topic: I didn't know they made multiple Birthday Pikachus, aside from that, I like the artwork on this card it's really cute.:)
 
@guiltyshy~The Tabunne is on there because of the promotion going on in the Pokemon Centers now. I don't know when it started of if it ended already but there was one. They made Tabunne plush, washcloths, etc...

More like $40-$120 auction site and condition depending thanks to the fact that the only way to obtain one of these is to go on (your) birthday. They're not exactly easy to get due to this.
 
That's a really nice-looking card. Wish that pink thing was a Chansey though. I strongly dislike it. The starters are really cute in this picture nonetheless. Yay Tsutarja!

arrrrrrgggg trying to collect all the pikachu cards has just gotten harder...im very lacking rofl. at least i have my ditto pikachu. im still in search of a captain pikachu though...and birthday...and shopping.......im a loooooong way off
