I want to know who likes the new banner on the main site? I personnaly think it looks preety sweet and reminds me of a really old episode when Brock and James fell in love with a ghost.:p
 
What, did they change it from that stupid Kotone one? Site is ridiculously laggy for me today, so I haven't gotten to see it yet. But anything other than the Kotone one is a definite improvement.
 
Yeah the site's been pretty laggy for me as well as of yesterday(well, forums anyway) but the banner showed up. So is that girl just a random person? Because she's not any pokemon character I can recognize... Anyway it's a nice Halloween theme but personally I kind of dislike it...
 
I'm quite sure Xous made it.

I personally think it looks pretty good, although the Halloween banner last year was a lot better in my opinion. I like the artwork. Don't know who the person is, though...

Yeah, it's the ghost of Maiden's Peak, from episode 20 of the first season of the Pokémon anime. And yeah, I made the artwork for it.

If another moderator feels this thread should be locked, or anything... Then go ahead. I'm not sure. xP

Love the banner Xous. I always did like that episode. Should have had the old lady though - she was the freakiest of them all.
 
Technically, the Ghost of Madien's Peak and Gastly were the same thing. That was one of my favorite episodes with Gastly succesfully countering Pikachu, Meowth, Ekans and Koffing.

Still, very impressive work, as always.

In the episode it is explain that a maiden married a man who worked on the sea. One day the man went out again - never to return again. So she apparently waited on the same peak and in the episode hundreds of years later there is a stone statue in her shape. So she is yearning for the husband she lost to the see. Gastly takes her form - So her "spirit" yearns for her "husband".

Mouse Traps should have been there as well.

Ghost of Maiden's Peak? :eek: I thought it was someone from the Fighting Dojo lol
 
RE: new banner and lag reason

Now, there was lag on the site as you know and suddenly, I checked the main page. A new banner was suddenly there! A reason is that the changing of the banner has made the site slow down altogether.
 
The new banner is very nice but I do remember last year's halloween banner also and I think that was better. Still very good banner, love it! Great work again Xous.

The banner has nothing to do with the slowing of the site.
