New Black and White Theme Decks - Analysis

I'm sure everyone has seen the new black and white merchandise on the front page, the article says that the decks with be released 3 weeks before the set. This then made me think that the booster pack that we know and love being in our recent theme decks will not be in these as the actual set is't out yet,,, Bummer.

follow this link and you'll see the cards from the black and white boy and girls sets. My hypothesis is that all the cards in the three theme decks will just be these cards, the article mentions using Leaf storm with serperior and the serperior from this kits has that as its attack.

This is annoying as the new awesome enboar with its fire dance ability won't be in the theme decks instead it will be the one from this mini set. As you can see the mini set contains enough cards for each theme deck and the correct type balancing too.

What do you guys make of this?
 
If u read the poster Thimbu it says on jalordas deck the leaf storm attack name. I believe that is the attack of the pack one

sounds pretty much exactly as the boy/girl collection serperior(jalorda):
Jalorda – Grass – HP130
Stage 2 – Evolves from Janovy

[C][C] Vine Whip: 40 damage.
[G][G] Leaf Storm: 60 damage. Each of your Grass-type Pokemon recovers 20 HP.


this makes me also believe that the theme decks will incorporate the boy/girl collection.
however, in the blue assault theme deck, it says that galvantula will be in it, which is only in the packs.

so the theme decks could be a mix of the boy/girl collection as well as select cards from the packs.
what would be great is if they gave up both versions of the starter pokemon
 
I can't read my Japanese jalorda and I never read a scan of that one. I guess it is a good chance thoug.
 
yeh it would be cool if we got one of each version of the stage 2's, in saying about gavantula it's pre-evolution is in the boy/girl collection but I agree that to keep with the current theme recently of theme decks having 4 or 5 rares means that they will probably have cards from the set. It just doesn't make sense that they could only make specific cards from the available beofre the sets main release
 
its weird that their releasing the theme decks before the set's release date.

just a marketing ploy to increase theme deck sales

Wait, is Catcher in the Theme decks? If so then the theme decks will be most likely sold out in some places.
 
So, if Galvantua is in the Blue Assault deck and the Starter Kits didn't have Galvantua, my guess is that the decks will contain a combination of cards from the Starter Kits and the actual set itself.
 
if you look at the scans they show the versions of the pokemon and as far as i can see they include the ones without the abiltys making them worst, much worst!!!!
 
yes, people, this has already been stated.
the theme decks seem to be mostly based off the girl boy starter, with a few pokemon from the actual black white set
a.k.a galvantula

unless they include some black and white set trainer's such as poke catcher
or a booster pack, which we have no news of yet,
i dont think these theme decks are worth it at all
