Whatever happened to the new D/P rule:

New Game Mechanics for the TCG
  • Before, the player going first wasn't able to draw a card on their initial turn. With the new rules, both players draw a card at the beginning of every turn.

In the new rules that were posted on May 9th, there is no mention of anything regarding card drawing.

Where did it go?  Did it get lost in translation?  Did they decide not to use that new rule?  What happened?

Beginning the game
The player who goes first now draws a card at the beginning of his or her turn. That player may not play ANY Trainer cards from his or her hand, during that first turn. (This includes playing Fossil cards to the Bench.)

Quoted from the second page.

That quote pertains only to the begining of the game.
If you were to take that rule as if it were to be use upon every turn thereafter, then you would never be able play any trainer cards throughout the entire game.

That rule only applies to the first turn of the game, so what do you do on your subsequent turns?

But it only applies for the starting turn; he/she may play Trainer cards normally again afterwards.

Draw your turn card, play basic Pokémon, evolve Pokémon, play Trainers, attack, all that good stuff you've been doing since way back when.

Edit: Went overboard with sarcasm at first.

Exactly. That rule made it so players that go first can now draw a card. Normally you couldnt. You still draw normally after that, and you can still play trainer cards on your first turn.

Not if you're the starting player; you may not play any Stadium, Supporter (unchanged rule), or Trainer card as an action.

Edit: Bit more clarification.

From my interpretation of the new rules as stated on May 9th, you draw a card only at the begining of your own turn? Is that correct?

Is so, what happened to the other rule that said that both players draw a card at the begining of every turn?

Do I know you? Stop being an ass by questioning the rules that are more than clear. You take a card in the beginning of your turn. EVERY-SINGLE-TURN! End of discussion!

Oh, so you want to call people names, now? Hm...

That kind of talk don't fly 'round these parts. Consider yourself warned, Mewstor.
