I'm trying to get into the competitive side of the Pokemon video games, and if you even care, I would like some help. Please?

If you decided to help me out, here is my current team I am planning on making:

Lucario
Slowbro
Amoonguss
Darmanitan
Suicune
Sableye

I understand EVs, natures, abilities, etc.; all the basics.

What EVs should I apply to each Pokemon? Should I change what Pokemon I have?

I would really appreciate if someone helps me out.

Thanks in advance,
Blake

Does your team flow together, or have any main purpose? Is it a weather team or Baton Pass team? Doesn't really look like it...
If you just took a bunch of Pokemon and squished them together, that's not really going to work. Trust me, I did that and got a giant lecture about it. (I'm kinda new as well.) You can look at my STRIPES ON FIRE thread, my original team is on the first post, and you can see it's not very well put together. (Vaporeon on a Sun Team...)
Probably other players on here have more knowledge than me though, just to let you know.
Also, it seems like your mixing Attack with Defense. You should be more focused. (Like make an offensive team or a defensive team.) But to me it doesn't really look like you have much of a strategy, which is the first thing you should think of. Do you want to be offensive or defensive? Do you want a weather team? If so do you want to run Sun, Rain, Sandstorm or Hail? Or a Baton Pass team? Or another kind of team?
Other people here might have a better way of explaning this since I'm new. You could also look at Smogon sets for a reference.

EDIT: Also is this supposed to be an Underused team or an Overused?

I don't have a main strategy. I would like to be offensive. I honestly don't know what strategy I want to use.

Probably an Underused team.

Probably an Underused team.

Darmanitan and Lucario are both completely offensive, however Lucario is Overused.
All your other Pokemon are defensive, except Suicune I think can be both.

You should at least have a balanced team with typing and type coverage. You want to make sure you can hit all types with Super Effective damage or at least neutral. And you don't want too many of the same type (like a bunch of fire types because then you would have a ton of weaknesses).

You don't need to focus on having your team be offensive or defensive as long as it checks all metagame threats. As long as you chose the Pokemon on your team for a reason and the team has no big weaknesses, it's fine.

I'd advise you to replace Sableye with Specially defensive Jirachi or Tyranitar. Sableye belongs on a stall team where it can actually make use of spinblocking, burn spreading, and shutting down other stall teams. Your team doesn't even have entry hazards and is weak to some common special attackers such as Reuniclus, Alakazam, Lati@s, etc. Suicune's also pretty useless on this team because it's outclassed by Slowbro. Replace it with something that can check Volcarona such as Gyarados or Dragonite.

Yeah, mixing offense and defense is fine as long as it flows well. I just meant don't do something like, as someone said, Skarmory and Jolteon on the same team...

Since when is there something wrong with Skarmory and Jolteon on the same team?

I don't know, someone said that about my old team that wasn't very good to begin with.

Skarmory and Jolteon actually do work well together since Jolteon has Volt Absorb. I normally use a mix of offense and defense although I can play using pure offense or pure defense. Those just aren't my preferred playstyle.

You need to tell us do you want to play pure offense, pure defense, or some middle ground. Doing that will let us better assist you.

What happened to UU team?

Either way for both, you need to start with a good core. In UU a Fire/Grass/Water core is a great start, can be either defensive, or offensive. That's when you add in certain checks to threats. Usually you have;
Stealth Rock/Spikes/Sweeper/Wall/Support/Support

Also IDK about OU
