Okay, so i've been on Pokemon online for a while now, testing out a Sandstorm team. I'd say it works pretty well. I like it a lot, but a few of my opponents have raged at me for using it. They call it cliche, predictable, blah, blah, blah. Personally, I think my team is rather unorthodox, but they still seem to think I am "in the wrong" for using it.

So I am here to ask you: Do you feel the same animosity towards weather teams? Are there other Pokemon that are "unfair" in a way to you? What do you think will emerge as an overused team strategy?

Discuss!

A lot of people on PO and shoddy are immature and will say stuff like that just because they lose or whatever. If a team suits you, and are happy with its performance, others comments don't matter. Sandstorm isn't uncommon, but builds and user skill level of SS teams range from top to bottom.

Obviously Sandstorm is powerful, with that new mole with Sand Throw (The SS version of Swift Swim) which has amazing base ATK and access to Swords Dance. Also, seeing that Garchomp is unbanned from OU in the 5th gen makes the Sandstorm weather even more dangerous. Yes, sandstorm is easily countered by Rain Dance teams which is mostly all Sandstorm Pokemon weakness. However no, no weather team is "unfair" you need a amount of skill to use them properly. I myself run a dual screen Dory and Chomp set up in sandstorm. It works amazing with only 2 loses and 21 wins. People rage quit after missing a ice attack on Garchomp. However you NEED an amount of skill to play the weather teams effectively. I mean, your weather team won't be a success if you just dump some Pokemon who has a advantage in that weather.

Also, a common thing by all competitive battle players.
If they win, it's pure skill and if they lose the opponent has haxed.

My beastly (yes, it is beastly) Rain Dance team has created the same problem for me. Before the match even starts, as soon as they see that Politoed lead, they cancel the match. It's rather disappointing.

Yes, also people refer to people who use weather teams as "n00bs" obviously the "n00b" is the person who cannot handle a weather team. Also, TR murders weather because most weather teams are built for speed. Sun teams mostly rely on a Venosaur to get a Leech Seed Stall going / SS teams rely on the massive power of Chomp and Dory as well as Dory's excellent revenge killing abilities out there in Sandstorm. So that also relies on speed / Rain teams ... gah, speedy speed with Swift Swim. Let Kingdra reign in the throne. Hail is most probably the only weather team that doesn't use speed. However hail teams are rare in the 5th gen.

So conclusion = Get a Trick Room over the weather team and blast it. I used this technique with Brongzong and Rankurusu as my Trick Room users and I safely say, I only lost to 1 Sandstorm team which got a critical hit with Dory's Rock Slide on my Brongzong causing it to faint after the Trick Room effect poured on by Rankurusu has gone away and Brongzong didn't have time to place another Trick room.

well, i think weather/trick room teams are very fair.
if it's part of the game, the pokemon have legit stats/moves, then i'm fine with it. :3

You have to battle with people who are better then you, that's the only way to effectively gain exp. Anyone who rages or quits before the end of the battle is below you and you should not bother with them after the battle. That's my thoughts on rage quits. On weather teams, anything that is put into pokemon is for the most part counter-able with the right skills and thinking. So almost all teams are fair.

i think they should be completely usable, pretty much any poke can be counteracted, the only two i find are hard to beat are darkrai and wobbuffet and since they are ubers i dont really care

I think there is nothing 'unfair' about them, it's just the opponent is seeing 'too many' of them and so they call anyone who uses them a n00b.

I run Sandstorm and it works great. The only major trouble I have is with Roobushin, and sometimes Rain Dance.

A bit off topic, if anyone can give a good counter to Roobushin, then PM me and I will thank you gratefully.
