Just wanted to let you know we will be doing trials of a new league on the west side of Edmonton.

February 5th is the start date. It is planned to be on Saturdays on a 6 pm start time. Right now we are just doing a trial so it isn't an "official league". Right now it isn't even permanent. However we are scheduled for all of February. The first day will be free league. We are scheduled to do tournaments for the next 3 days. We are going to try and run 5 dollar entry fee tournaments with some sort of split of the pot in store credit details to come.
There have been talks about eventual biweekly ds and card tournaments. That is a card tournament then a ds tournament. All tournaments will likely be structured with the same cash entrance store credit pay out.
We are choosing to do this for two reasons.
1) Edmonton has no leagues in the westend
2) There are no competitive leagues in Edmonton
With a venue that by some has said to be sketchy and more adult, a later time frame and the potential cash entrance with legit prize tournaments you can expect this to be as competitive as it gets.
Other then that not much more to say. If you live in Edmonton or even near Edmonton and you want to be prepped for tournaments this is the league you want to go to. How could it not be.
