Hey guys, I started collecting pokemon cards again a few months ago (last time i bought Pokemon cards when the base set came out) and went to my first prerelease this past Sunday. I've never actually played the tcg just have collected the cards but in the prerelease we had to play in the tournament to get some free packs at the end so i ended up quickly learning how to play and I had a lot of fun. Now i want to see if i can build a semi competitive deck with what i have currently and maybe buying a few cards but not too many either. I bought the Rayquaza and Keldeo battle arena deck because i was told it had some necessary staples for most decks. So now im trying to figure out what i can build with the cards that i have. If any of you are willing to help me thatd be great, i can send pictures of the EX, Megas, and other foil cards i have and then go from there. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Here is a few pics of my EXs, megas, and foils http://imgur.com/a/RwKTo

Seeing the pictures, I think you can make a M gardevior or Volcanion EX deck. I think volcanion is better for you because you don't need a shaymin, but it might be better with it though. If you need help with a decklist you can PM me.

You also have some good Dark Pokémon cards too in addition to the Rayquaza EX and Keldeo EX decks. I'd suggest reviewing all of these Pokémon card groups, including Volcanion EX, and then search the Deck Garage Forum for specifics deck examples featuring the following competitive Pokémon:
  • Darkrai (and/or Darkrai EX),
  • Keldeo EX,
  • Rayquaza EX (the Raichu from the Battle Arena deck would combo well with this Pokémon too),
  • Volcanion EX, and
  • Yveltal (and/or Yveltal EX).
In doing so, 1+ more decks could appeal to you. Thereafter, you can assess your current current inventory against the deck list(s) you want to test (even if you need to use proxies). Submit deck drafts into the Deck Garage for more specific deck improvement feedback and play-test the deck(s). Revise and test your deck(s) more till you arrive at the 1+ deck(s) you like. Then trade and/or buy any card you actually at that point.

I hope you find these comments helpful.
